My house was a haven of succor. That has been robbed us, but this too shall pass.
Mummy, a beautiful soul. Loved generously, lived life joyously, and her name philanthropy.
We love you Mummy, but God loves you more.

We the family of Peter and Cecilia Nonyelum Okafor (Nee Obikezia) wish to commensurate with our cousins the Egbunike’s family for the death of our Aunty their Mother Mrs Nwezebuona Theresa Egbunike ( Nee Obukezie)

- [ ] “Sister anyi “like we fondly call you because I as the first child in my family I still remember vividly growing up with you living with my parents in our house in Enugu. I called you Sister because I thought you were my elder sister and my siblings followed suit, that was how close we were.
- [ ] I haven’t forgotten how I cried the day you got an apartment and decide to move to start a new life and I also helped you move your things from my house to “Bassey Duke”a few street away from my house.

Sister Anyi, you were our mum’s closest friend and sister and your home was our second home, your children became our closest cousins and friends because we followed the friendship established by my mum and yourself. Your closeness and friendship with our mother was so contagious and enviable because people admired how you helped each other through the circumstances of life.

We were shocked at the news of your death but we know that God loves you more.
Adieu Sister Anyi ooh we will miss you greatly but your legacy lives on.
Ikechukwu Okafor for the family.

Mummy was born Nwaezebuona Obukezie and christened Theresa. Her early and secondary education was in Otuocha Umuleri Anambra State and tertiary education at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Anambra State Nigeria, where she studied Psychology. Her previous career as a nurse started during the Nigeria/Biafra civil war; She was trained by the International Red Cross. She took care of the sick, the elderly and the malnourished. All her life suffering children became her responsibility. Project Hope has been raised in her honour.
Her gift of love is indescribable; forever our nightingale...
Your love lives on Mum.
