Nyssa was my best friend before she was family. She wiuld open her arms to you and her heart at anytime.. she was the only person who understood me with out judgement. I miss her everyday and no one will ever be like her to me. She was such a wild nd free spirit with captivating personality. She will always be loved and missed. Most of all she will continue to teach me through her memories and thoughts of her life. Some day we will meet again.

Nyssa and I have a mutual friend on facebook, and I recently learned of her passing. I met Nyssa in 2001 (around the time of 9/11... In fact, I think she was there with me when the plane hit the twin towers) at a program in Kalamazoo that we were in (I won't give details on that, but I'm sure her family will know what I am referring to). I knew her brother Nick from high school, and we may have also worked together at Meijer. Anyway, I remember that Nyssa was such a very nice girl, and we quickly became friends. I was (and still am) a HUGE Mariah Carey fan, and when Glitter came out, Nyssa went to the theatre to see it with me. We lost touch shortly after that, but I have never forgotten her. She was a special person, and I'm so sorry that she's no longer with us.
