I remember when you danced with me at Grammys wedding when I didn't have anyone to dance with. I remember giving you a hug before you left with Shenai and her boyfriend Mike. love and miss ya so much Nyssa.

Nyssa and I have a mutual friend on facebook, and I recently learned of her passing.  I met Nyssa in 2001 (around the time of 9/11... In fact, I think she was there with me when the plane hit the twin towers) at a program in Kalamazoo that we were in (I won't give details on that, but I'm sure her family will know what I am referring to).  I knew her brother Nick from high school, and we may have also worked together at Meijer.  Anyway, I remember that Nyssa was such a very nice girl, and we quickly became friends.  I was (and still am) a HUGE Mariah Carey fan, and when Glitter came out, Nyssa went to the theatre to see it with me.  We lost touch shortly after that, but I have never forgotten her.  She was a special person, and I'm so sorry that she's no longer with us.
