Nyuyberiwo Christina was born in Tatum on the 27th of October 1988 ,of Pa John Nyuyberiwo Tomla and Mama Tomla Helmine both of Blessed memory. She was the 4th child and only daughter from a family of five. She did her primary studies at G.S Tatum and upon graduation, she attended G.S.S Tatum where she obtained her Ordinary Level certificate. From there she went to G.H.S Ndop for one year and then returned to G.H.S Tatum where she obtained her Advance Level Certificate. With Ambition, she attended the Teachers Training College Tatum and graduated with excellent results. With her grade one certificate, she was able to get a teaching job at New Vision Bilingual Nursery and Primary School Tatum after which she taught History at her Alma Mater (G.H.S Tatum)for while, then she moved to Yaounde.
While In Yaounde , she studied Economics at the university of Yaounde 2 and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Economics.
Upon completion of studies from the University of Yaounde , She obtained a teaching job at St Alberts Comprehensive College Bafut where she taught economics for three years and also served the college as Boarding mistress. As a boarding mistress, she participated actively in the life of the school , meanwhile she never relented her efforts in doing her passion which was farming. She had very great yields which were not only admired but also enjoyed by all as she was very generous. Her stay in Bafut was terminated by the current socio political crisis of the Northwest and Southwest Regions which let to the close of the school and she then moved to Douala.
While In Douala, being determined as ever before, she picked up another teaching job at G.B.S.S Camp Bertoua for two academic years till she took ill sometime in February this year.
Her illness while in Douala was very brief as compared to the moment of a more intense period of sickness while in Bafut. Despite all the medical attention given her, her death came as a surprise to all on Saturday 13th of March 2021 at about 12:30 pm. In the early hours of that day, she reassured everyone that she was much better and will be going home. She impressed her career by walking on her own to sit outside the ward without being supported as usual. And just a short while from then, she battled between life and death and finally breath her last. It was only after her death, that we all understood that she spoke of the home of eternity.
The Will Of God Is Paramount.
Christina as human as she was, had her own flaws but also she was a very determined and hardworking young lady, extremely sociable and also with a very good sense of humor. Her love and passion for agriculture , culture and music kept her going where ever she found herself. She died being a very active member of St Seraphines Lamso Choir.
Her passing away is a great loss to her entire biological, Christian and educational family. She will be greatly missed most especially by her two lovely kids, four cherished brothers , most favorite and always available uncle (Br Ivo Njongai), family, in-laws, Students , Colleagues friends and well wishers who deeply mourn her.
We Love You Dear Christie, now and into eternity. Until we meet to part no more, Continue to Rest In Perfect Peace....Amen.
