Rest in Peace my uncle and friend. I will never forget all those great moments we enjoyed together. I will never forget. I can’t ask why someone dies, because I don’t even understand how life is possible. However the universe does work, maybe the energy that our soul is does find a new place, but even if that is not the case, together we’ve been part of something in time and space

I am happy that I got the chance to meet such a beautiful person

Rest in Peace my friend and uncle.

Bode as a colleague

August 25, 2014

Bode was a team member some years back in a bank branch in Ikeja, Lagos Nigeria. In addition, we share the same birthday. It is a bit unusual to find my birthday mate but in this small branch, we were three that share the same birthday.

AS a teller, he will do his work excellently well and balance in record time. however, for whatever reason, coming early to work was a challenge. If I recall, I think he lived in the ijegun area at that time and there were usual stories of flooding, traffic et al. If you know this area around the mid 90s you will probably appreciate this. I spite of his green celiac car, getting to work was a challenge. According to him, most times the car does not get home.

We never lost touch after we parted ways as co-workers in the bank. we met again in church and a couple of places there after.in spite of the issues of lateness, I will  remember Bode for his caring, cheerful and humorous life though short. Never a dull moment with him which was why often time at work he was forgiven

May God bless and keep the family you left behind. RIP Bode Owolawi
