    Thanks for being always positive despite your struggles and hardships. You have shared your stories growing up in the Ukraine/Germany and the fact that you were the only survivor is truly amazing. You are my Hero, a true inspiration. I hope to share your memories with Baby Fiona and instill in her your morals and values that you taught me.

My family & I only had the the pleasure of knowing Olga for a few but wonderful months. She enspired my entire families lives by sharing her life story, her amazing voice as she sung songs from her heart, and even had us laughing till we cried by her witty sence if humor. Our Memories of her will forever be in our hearts.

Ms. Poelz was an inspiration to many. I often spoke to people about her energy and love for life. Rest in peace.

100-Year Old Survivor of Soviet Slave Labor Camps dies.

My mother, OLGA POELZ, born Olga Wetzel on 5 September 1910 in Ludwigstal, Ukraine, died on Sunday 23 January 2011 at 15:15 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, of pneumonia and a heart grown all too weary of the many ills of this world.
May God bless her and keep her in Heaven for all eternity! Son, Felix Polz.
