Her Life
May 4, 2015
Ms. Olga C. Scott was born on March 9, 1935, in Cambridge, MA to the late Henry Cordice and Mary Ella Ingram. She went to be with our heavenly Father on Friday, March 27, 2015 at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, FL, at the age of 80.

Olga spent her childhood in Boston, MA and as an adult was dedicated to serving her community in which lived. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Boston University and went on to earn her Master's Degree at Antioch Graduate School of Education. Throughout her professional career, Olga served as a clinical social worker, mental health clinician, community health and intervention specialist, and executive director of multiple children centers. Her desire to help those in need, led her to her final position at Bridgewater State Hospital and Correctional Facility as a forensic psychologist until she retired due to health related issues.

She was a proud member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, where she was also baptized in 2011. Olga enjoyed a multitude of activities to include traveling to Italy, England, and Paris, retail therapy, gambling on the penny machines, buffets, watching the ID channel and Agatha Christie’s detective series. Olga enjoyed lobster tails and loved her loyal cat Weezza. Most importantly she was happy that her children grew up to be decent human beings. Olga, adored all her family and friends, and especially cherished the moments, when she had all her children and family together to listen to them laugh and joke with one another.

She was united in marriage to the late Willie M. Gaston with one son born of this union and later married the late John L. Scott with four children born of this union.

Olga leaves to treasure her memories: her son Stephen A. Scott (Angela) of Az, daughter Dianne Barrett of Fl, son Henri Christophe Scott (David) of Fl, daughter-in-law Gale C. Scott of Ma and her grandchildren Renaul, Laurren-Ashley, Alecia, Corey, Justin S., Justin B., Dennis, and Jordan. In addition, she leaves behind her loving brothers and sisters, Henry, Lydia, Clay, Rodney, Francine, and Evelyn, all of Massachusetts. To include Sister-in-laws Carolyn and Patricia, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and devoted friends and colleagues.

She is predeceased in death by her mother and father Mary Ella and Henry Cordice Ingram, her sons Ronald and Phillip, and her brother Calvet.
