Olive McCrea Pearson passed away in her daughter's home in Port Charlotte FL on June 19, 2013. She is survived by her loving family members and the close friends that she thought of as family.

Ollie was born in Johnston, RI in 1922 and grew up in Rhode Island before marrying Robert C. Pearson, who preceded her in death in 1997. In their younger years, Ollie and Bob lived in many states before settling in Nashville TN for about a decade prior to their final move to Port Charlotte FL in 1977. Ollie held many interesting jobs during her lifetime, including executive assistant for the Cheekwood Museum of Art in Nashville and secretary for various radio stations. She retired from her secretarial position at Charlotte County School System in 1999 and spent the next many years enjoying her needlework crafts, reading and traveling with her daughter. Her beautiful smile, quick laughter, gentle kindness and witty sense of humor were enjoyed by all who met her during her ninety years of life.

Plans for a future memorial service are not yet completed.

A beautiful obituary for a beautiful soul. Ollie will always be close to my heart and I have lost a most wonderful friend who I loved dearly. Celeste will always be special to me, as well; she and her husband took exceptional care of Ollie. Rest in peace my dearest friend.

Olie, it took me a long time before I could say TGWO (the great white one). When we worked at ESE Dept, you made me feel so welcome, and are discussions re: crocheting, I shall never forget. Having had you in my life was one of the very best things that has ever happened to me. You will be missed, I know you are in a better place and we shall meet again. I love you dear friend.
