Mrs. Olivia “Lil Bit” Sands was born May 27, 1940 to the parentage of the late R. D. and Ossie Lee Anderson in Harris County, GA. On Tuesday, July 4, 2017, Olivia went home to live with God at West Georgia Hospice, LaGrange, GA.

 

“Lil Bit”, as she was affectionately known, accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was an active participant in the Young at Heart program. She loved her church family.

 

Olivia was employed by Hardee's until declining health.

 

Her hobbies included fishing, cooking, and working crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was taking care of her grandkids.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Sands; brothers, Earlie, Reese Dan, and John Willie Anderson; sisters, Sally Richardson, Marie Johnson, Addie Meredith and Cora Rowe.

Point, GA; two sisters, Lurlene Maxwell, Birmingham, AL and Pauline Upshaw, Columbus, GA; two devoted sisters-in-law, Willie Bell Heard and Betty Trammell, West Point, GA; a special niece and caretaker, Rosie Hardnett, nieces, Kovia(Maurice)Winston, Marrietta(Curtis)Trapp; nephews, Dennis and Frank Heard, Deacon Willie( Shirley) Sands, John(Amelia)James, Robert James ; four loving grandchildren, Chelsea Noel Walker, Maurice Chavaski Avez Winston,
