Words fail me to describe the shock of your untimely (to man) departure and your lovely sweet girls who I met last year. Funmi you brought light, laughter, and warmth to so many including myself. I always remember the contrast of your impeccable English and your down to earth Yoruba which would often cause eruptions of laughter as people often did not expect you to have the depth of knowledge or diction in our dear language. I choose to remember you as a bright bubbly friend who always had time to share her love and life with everyone. Since I heard of your departure the tune of your daughters teasing you at the reunion last year and the motherly smile on your face as they teased has not stopped ringing in my mind "mummy the slow we want to go"
May you and your family rest in God,s perfect peace.
The greatest consolation is that you knew Christ and the salvation he brought through believing in his life death and resurrection.
Sun re o roomy.

But I am double sure that whatever God does not know about will NEVER happen. Funmi, please enjoy your peace among the angels, and the immortals. Rest in peace.
Funmi, may you and your family rest in the peace of the Lord for all eternity.
Keep sleeping in the blossom of your creator along with Mojoyin, Grace and your husband.

One day, we will see her again and rejoice eternally. May her soul and the souls of her daughters and husband continually rest in perfect peace.
ADIEU Funmi; you came to this sinful world with glowing hope and tenacious aspirations to impact positively on humanity. This you have done but your candle of life was put off untimely and suddenly. Your departure has brought on us a poignant loss and sonorous sorrow of colossal level. Funmi will be greatly missed but her warmth, kindness and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow. Funmi's death leave a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Saying goodbye to someone we dearly love is heartbreaking, may we all find comfort in all the special memories shared with Funmi.
With love & remembrance.

Rest in the bosom of our Lord dear sis.
My memory of you as one of your classmates was that of a very nice, gentle person always smiling and greeting people with cheerfulness.
You touched many people's lives with your life.
Rest well in the bosom of the Lord with your husband and children.
We will meet again in God's presence where there will be no more dying.

Wonderful times with Funmi
I have so many fond memories of Funmi. I first met Funmi on her wedding day. She looked so beautiful and was very happy. We became close when she moved to Birmingham. I miss our visits to the theatre and the delicious deserts we often had during the intervals. We shared many stories and pictures of the different places we had been to on our holidays. I miss our long chats on the phone which always began with “Auntie good evening …”. I also miss the visits to each other's houses and the delicious meals she always cooked. It was a privilege to have known such a wonderful woman.
