Uncle Olu! I have fun childhood memories of the times with you and the family.
'Wabbit wabbit' as you normally call the inflated rabbit toy you bought me. You were amazing and hardworking. You will always be fondly remembered. You and Aunty treated us with love and I'm really grateful to God to have met you. The wonderful times spent in Lagos and Portharcourt formed part of my amazing childhood!
This hurts so bad! ! Rest in peace!!!
May God be with the family you left behind!

It was a big shock when l heard of your demise. Years back when we met as CORPERS at Ogun State College of Education, ljebu Ode, destiny brought as together as friends. Up till you died we still maintained the communication link. Your encouragement enabled me to acquire extra qualifications. Meeting you was not a regret.
Your death is a big blow and it's only Almighty Allah that can give the entire family and WE your friends the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
I pray Almighty Allah to be with his wife, children and families, destiny helpers will locate them to realize there life ambitions.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Daddy!!!! Your passing came as a shock to me I still can’t believe that you’re gone. You were a strong and an amazing father figure in my life. You were kind, gentle, thoughtful, full of love and always had a smile on your face. Some of my best childhood memories were with you and your family. I remember how i and my sister spent our holidays with you back then in port harcourt and even as we’re grown, we still come to spend our holidays with you. Our holidays were usually the best time of the year for us. Even the time you were out of the country, you still called to check up on us. I never knew the last time I would see you was the morning you dropped me off at the airport in February. I never knew.......
Thank you for all the love and care you showered us Daddy. You really inspired me with your warmth and kindness. It breaks my heart that you’re gone so early and I no longer get to see you. I miss you Daddy. Rest on! We love you.

Olu Concord! Like we used to call you back in the days while we were growing up in Akoka because Concord Newspaper was your favourite newspaper.

Your death was a big surprise to us, devastating and very disheartening too.
Your camaraderie was wonderful because you were unreserved.

When you moved out of Akoka you were still so much around because you were always keeping in touch.

OLUMIDE KEHINDE, it would have been our joy that you spent more years with us, but your Lord who loves you want you home and who are we to query that.

We take solace that you were a good Christian before your home call. We therefore believe that you have joined the saints triumphant.
We are consoled by Rev. 14 vs13. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours and their works do follow them. Your good works in the Kingdom of God will continue to speak for you.
Continue to rest in the bosom of your Redeemer till we all shall meet to part no more.

Olumide, Your unfortunate demise is still a big shock to me. You sat right beside me in church the Sunday before the accident being our society's anniversary. We were together for hours after service and had useful discussions with plans to travel together not knowing it was going to be the last time I will see you. I spoke with you on phone on the way to the hospital on the fateful day and you told me not to worry that you will survive it but alas you gave the ghost. You have been a good friend to most of us and no doubt you have left a big vacuum. Sleep on dear EOK may God grant you eternal rest.

Words cannot express how I feel for you, family and the entire AHOSA, upon the unfortunate death of our own olumide. This an experience that would be the most difficult to put up ; losing a loved one always go with pain. However with the knowledge that God gave and takes as he wishes without explanation to any human being. My prayer is that when the trumpet shall sound, we will meet again to part no more in Jesus Name.
Rest on olumide.

"SUNSET IN THE TWILIGHT"

OLU MIGHTY....Olumide Kehinde as you were fondly referred to in our group of post-school class friends! Words failed me and emotions overtook my reasoning on hearing the details of your demise from our own Christo Alonge who incidentally was in your company on that fateful day!

While it took me days to come to terms with your sudden and most untimely passage to eternal life I believe, memories of our school years escapades came in torrents that I could ill prevent.

You were such a gentle, caring, thoughtful, helpful and dependable giant, a jolly good fella with infectious smiles and likeable humorous disposition!

We are hard hit by your demise yet, who are we to question the timing of our LORD JESUS CHRIST?

We will miss you dearly, ditto your family, relations, associates and indeed the Awenian community but safe in the knowledge and consolation that your soul is at peace in the bosom of your creator, the GOD ALMIGHTY!

We will meet to part no more and I pray that will be at the feet of our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, .

I, Olaseeni Afolabi "Afor Thug" on behalf of my family and the entire golden class of Awenian '78 of which you were a pivotal front -liner, bid you farewell....Adieu , our Gentle Giant Olu Mighty.

Dear ‘Tolu’s dad’ as we call you in our family, it was with rude shock and disbelieve that we received the news of your sudden passing. You were such a gentle and amiable soul always having a smile on your face.

No doubt that you were a loving and caring husband and father as evidenced by your devotion to your wife and daughter which was such a joy to behold.

You lived a short but fulfilled life and we are grateful to God for this. Though you are no more physically present here on earth, we take solace in the word of God in Isaiah 57:1 (NLT) that states: “The Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from evil to come.

May God comfort your dear wife, daughter and the entire family at this very challenging time.

Continue to rest in the bosom of your maker till we all meet on resurrection morning.

The most tasking thing to want to do is searching for the meaning of life. The reason that it is the vocation of this rare breed of humans called philosophers. Daily, what looks real is confounding; the wicked continue to thrive, but the good people reach their end at their prime. Yet we were brought up to know that no tree falls in the bush that God does not know about. Confounding, isn't it? In other words, there are so many issues on which we are seeking for meaning that will only become clearer at the end of time when we reach our final place on the other side ... that of course would be when we gather at the river ... in the words of the song writer, Robert Lowry, to wit:

"... where bright angel feet have trod
With its crystal tide forever
Flowing by the throne of God

Yes, we'll gather at the river
The beautiful, the beautiful river
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God

Soon we'll reach the shining river
Soon our pilgrimage will cease
Soon our happy hearts will quiver
With the melody of peace

Yes, we'll gather at the river
The beautiful, the beautiful river. Gather with the saints at the river. That flows by the throne of God

Maybe then, we will truly understand life's meaning ... maybe many issues of our lives will become clearer

In the meantime, Olumide, continue to rest in the bossom of your maker until that time when at the bank of the river we all come face to face with the creator of heaven and earth. May your soul continue to find rest. Adieu, dear brother,

Prof. Tunji Olaopa

Olumide, I still find it difficult to believe that you are no more. On Sunday, June 13, 2021, after your Church society anniversary - Young Men Christian League of Surulere Baptist Church, we talked on some issues of our Men's Missionary Union. Your zeal for the work of God is high. How are the mighty falling. Our God is unquestionable, so who are we to query God? What is sure is that you lived well, you finished well and strong. Even at your last moment on this planet, you did not deny God.
Our minds goes to your wife, children, siblings and mama. God will comfort them and stand by them.
Adieu Olumide Kehinde till the resurrection morning.

Your exact words in your tribute to a dear friend few months ago.
Your demise was shocking and so devastating but I take solace in the fact that God did the very best for you.
Mr Olumide Kehinde, you were a rare gentleman!
May the Lord grant you eternal rest and grant your family and friends the fortitude to bear this huge loss.
