You were the best boss I ever had. I remember you as always. I have missed you so so much. Your heart was so large enough to love everyone. You preached Jesus to everyone that crossed your part. I can imagine how beautiful your crown must be. You must be God's favourite Princess.
Priestly is all grown up now. I remember how you provided funds for his birth. How can I forget the many times you provided support for all your staff? You were the mother we always had and will run to. I miss you so so much, Mrs Olaitan.
Rest easy till the resurrection morning

Dearest Sister in Heaven:

What can I say? On this your 63rd birthday we all still miss you and reminisce about the good times we all shared: playing table tennis in Raufu; giving our first lesson sessions; attending Debate Society events at St. Anne's; having luncheon parties in Raufu; ushering in the New Year ... all these memories are safely stored away in our memory bank. Through all these experiences to the end you were the same person: loving, caring, dutiful, soulfu with a strong moral compass. Till we meet again, to never part, we continue to console ourselves with those fond memories. Say hello to Aunty Toyin. Love always.

I still find it hard to comprehend that you have actually passed on to glory. I know you are in a better place right now, but I wished for you to have stayed with us a little longer. The past nine years of my life spent as one of your many employees have been one of pure contentment. You positively touched everyone who crossed your path . I remember your exact words to me on the day I was hired. ' Madam, God answers prayers in Canterbury, testimonies abound' Today I have a testimony because I held on to the words you spoke on that day. I thank you for the care, support and admonishing you always gave. You were our pillar of strength. You went out of your way to make every one happy. Truly you were an angel sent to us for a season. Goodnight my boss, Mentor, pastor, sweet mama, The Obong Awan (Queen Mother) of Canterbury, Onye Chimere Eze (God's Ordained One) of Canterbury. See you on the resurrection morning.

My beloved sister,
It is still so hard to believe that you are really gone, you truly fought the fight to the very end even when you knew the race was done. You were beautiful in and out and you gave your all to everybody. Thank you for being my sister, thank you for all you did during Tosin's wedding despite the fact that you were not well. We will surely miss you and the heart to heart phone calls we share. Greet Toyin for us at the feet of Christ until we all meet to depart no more. Sun re o omo Akindoju, aya Olaitan.
Goodnight.

You fought the good fight of faith and won the crown of glory. Rest in perfect peace dear sister. See you on the Resurrection morning. May the Lord comfort your husband, children and family members in Jesus mighty name.

A wonderful and highly detribalised woman. Our two sons passed through the primary school and we have never had to regret that decision. A very warm, loving and principled lady..fondly remembered but sorely missed. What earth has lost, heaven has gained. May God grant the family and all that she left behind the courage to bear the irreparable loss. Rest in peace our beautiful, elegant stallion. (The Akinsehinwa family)

Met up with Sola again after St Anne's when my son went to Reedemers Int. School. I recall how warmly she received us and how she took care of Bode like her own. May God rest her soul and watch over her family. It's peace forever for her even as she will forever remain in our memory with warmth and love. Rest on dearest.

Sola…… A beautiful soul, a giver, loving and affectionate, a teacher of children & adults in the way of the word. A blessing sent from God to earth…..and recalled. She touched so many in different ways.

We met 45 years ago as classmates in Secondary school, innocent children not knowing what the future held in store, in recent years we formed a small group of friends, friends for life, we ministered to one another, we laughed, we joked, we prayed together, we shared our thoughts. Then God said ....I want my angel back. I have work for her in Heaven to sing in my Choir! You left a group of friends in tears as we miss your physical presence but giving glory to God for the time He gave us to spend with you, Rest in peace dear friend.

Forever in our hearts.

Death leaves a heartache no-one can heal, Love leaves a memory no-one can steal.

We love you now and always .....fondly remembered by...Bunmi Adetoro, Dupe Olorunnimbe, Omowale Dipeolu & Nike Adeshina

Sola was always firm in her opinions and was a go- getter from youth. In St Anne's, she was 'ki i jeun' by our late Teacher, Mrs Ilori. Hence, she was forced to take her meals from St Hilda's to Mrs Ilori's house to eat. At Mkar- Gboko in Benue State where we did our National Service, Sola was there for me saving me from those soldiers by harassing them why they should let me go through those exercises which were strenous fir me because i was on the big side. At University of Lagos where we both did our second degree, she was also my mentor in the statistics class. Fath brought us together again at Government College, Ikoyi where we both started our Teaching career and it was during this time that she got hooked to Tokunbo her hubby. I watched the relationship blossom into matrimony and the raising of their girls.
Sola did not have the 'sidon look' nature, hence she opted out of the Government service because she had an innate goal she wanted to pursue. She continued her teaching career in the Lebanese School at Sbo and thereafter headed the Redeemer's School at Ikorodo Road. She later founded Canterbury School. A unique name she gave her school probably gotten from that 'big' Chaucer's book we read in school 'The tales of Canterbury' -a big dream she nurtured into reality.
A cheerful giver she was, a no nonsense Ondo who would fight for what she believed in. But above all, a God fearing one who gave her all to Christ even in death.
You would forever be missed Sola, but the consolation is that you are now at piece with your maker with no groans and pains. Hallelujah!
Ibukun Thomas.

Superhero

My mum taught me faith so much that after we put her in the mortuary, I visited and still believed that she would actually get up.
But I get it, this is what God wants.
Everything still seems surreal. I saw you one night, and by the next, you were gone.
I know I shouldn’t ask questions but Mum, I actually have questions.

You taught me everything – respect, virtue, hard work, dedication, selflessness, humility, thanksgiving and most of all faith. You prepared us adequately and in time for everything we have ahead of us. I’m grateful for every day, month and year we spent together. All I have now are those memories to keep me going. Your constant messages and calls made sure that you were an important part of our every day lives. This makes everyday even harder to comprehend.

You lived an exemplary life Mummy, there’s no doubt about that. You had so much love in your heart and you managed to share that love with everyone you met.

You’re a shining star Mama. You had the solution for every problem. You were a mother to thousands of people and were still able to be the best mother to Funmi, Tife & I.

In your orderly manner, you set everything in place and even waited patiently for me. I’m happy I was there, so I knew you were okay and you literally just transitioned into glory.
You called us your Angels, but you’re our Angel now Mummy!

Take a Bow Mum, You have done excellently well!
