Our beloved, Prince Oluwatosin Adetola Ogun, fondly referred to as "Kisky" was born on August 7, 1962, to Senior Evangelist Elijah Adewale and Mrs. Margaret IgbekeleOluwa Ogun of Ala- Ijebu, Ogun State, Nigeria. Tosin was a descendant of two royal families - the royal Ogunbowale family of Ala - Ijebu and the royal Ogunrin family of Ijebu - Omu.
Tosin was a scholar. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Lagos, Nigeria. He earned his Bachelors degree in Agriculture Forestry from the University of Ibadan. Tosin later earned a certification from the prestige Federal School and Technical College, Yaba.
In pursuit of a better life, Tosin left Nigeria in 1986 for the United Kingdom and subsequently to the United States where he lived for over two decades. While in the United States, Tosin lived in New York City and Florida, where he raised his three handsome sons - Olamide, Femi, and Timilenyi. Tosin was a serial entrepreneurial, he owned an Adult Care facility in Florida, a plumbing company, and he also served as a business mentor to many by sharing ideas freely, by sharing his business venture successes and "failures" as learning and growing experiences, he also invested in the businesses of family and friends here and in Nigeria.
Tosin later moved to Toronto, Canada. While in Canada, Tosin remained fervent in the faith and continued his personal relationship with his maker. He was a member of RCCG House of Praise. He worked for York Region School district until his illness. He loved and was loved and supported by his colleagues and students that he mentored.
A few words to describe Tosin are - incredibly generous, family oriented, loving, caring, and free-spirited. He was loved by all those he came in contact with. He was known for his kindness, humility, sense of humor, smile, soft-spoken, peaceful and reserved attitude. He saw the good in any and everyone. He was a peacemaker who withdrew himself from any situation where there was tension or friction. His positive and peaceful spirit was so contagious.
Tosin loved listening to music, he was a sports fanatic, he enjoyed traveling & exploring new cities, and he enjoyed networking and attending social gatherings during his free time. Tosin loved God, he was a prayer warrior it was rare for him to miss any of his weekly prayer calls with his siblings. He was the family treasurer and secretary, he was the glue that kept the family together.
To cherish his memory are his wonderful children, his wife, his aged mother, brothers (Dr. Wale Ogun and Leke Ogun), sisters (Dcns. Bola Adeboyejo and Mrs. Funke Emego), in-laws, aunties & uncles, countless of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers, and all those that he touched.
Tosin we all loved you, but God loves you more. In the words of Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:8, "We are confident, Yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord".
