ForeverMissed
Large image
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one Omonike Akinsete (nee Onanuga) who sadly passed away on December 5 2019.

We are never ready to say goodbye forever even though we know it is part of life. This day our hearts are heavy for losing someone so special, but as we mourn her death we also celebrate her life.

Omonike, even in death you are still loved and forever will be. You have touched the hearts of so many who owe you a lifetime of gratitude. We are not saying goodbye forever but goodbye for now.

As we lay you to rest, we know that you have gone to a better world and pray that you find peace and rest wherever you are.

Omonike you are greatly missed; its been
a journey from elementary school to living in the same estate then we reconnected on a group chat. Your contributions on the group chat reflected the kind of lady you have become, you were so kind, soft spoken and talked about how you wanted to touch lives which made me so impressed. We all miss you and we know u are resting with the angels. May the lord continue to comfort all your loved at this time. We love u!

Thankful to God our part crossed. We share few history and in these times you were just nothing but a sweet heart. Though we don't see much cos of distance, work, family but the times we talked on phone are always very valuable and treasured. we shared our dreams and always end it with may God spare our lives to see greatness. Its hurts Nike,it really hurts but who are we to question God. I take solace in the fact that you loved God and that's all that matters. Dear Nike it hurts. No amount of words can console your loved ones. No words. May God almighty send his spirit to console and to hold the hands of your husband, kids and family. We love you.Its so hard to say dear, I have been in denial to say this but I guess I have to say it..Rest in peace dear friend. May we meet again at Jesus feet.

Hmmm. Nike words fail me. I met you way back b4 secondary school, at Mrs Aladesanmi's pry school lesson at ire akari. We were good friend then. Then we parted ways to go to different secondary schools only for us to meet again when you got a transfer to Ansar Ud Deen.
Omonike we might not be best of friends like the primary school days but that doesn't mean I dont love u from a distance.
It's so painful and heart broken to be writing this now. Not in a million years did I ever think I will be doing this.
Continue to rest the arms of The Lord.
Rest well Omonike.

Hmmmm.... Omonike Onanuga Akinsete. I remembered the very first day you stepped into our class in Jss 2 with our Lady of Apostles secondary school uniform. I walked up to you and asked if it's the same our lady from ijebu ode and you said yes. Your personality said alot about you and throughout our days in secondary school, you were such a pleasant person to be with, very humble and gentle.
We never get to meet each other again until our set platform was created. Gosh... Your manner of approach when you chatted me up was too awesome,I will never forget it.We will surely miss you, we pray God Almighty grant your families, friends and love ones the fortitude to bear this great loss.

My dearest friend turned sister. I met you in 1992 and this journey started. From AUD college to Ire-Akari Estate babes down to OAU before you left for UNILAG.Even then the already formed bond couldn't be broken. Our relationship united both our families. My dad and yours became friends now my mum and yours are best of friends and Femi pals with my family.I relocated to the UK, even so my friends here all know who Nike is.

What haven't we done together? We cried together, we laughed together both in the good and bad times. I tease you with your nickname Nikopa...and I still hear your response in my heard Jemoya!!with your tiny voice. I remember those funny dance steps. Oh my God...you would even laugh at my hair and call me "ore mi apari".

You were a friend I could trust with anything. You see me rising in my career and the vibe I get from you is positivity and support. You were so proud of the woman I had become. We shared ideas on how we could progress in our life endeavours.
Wow...I remember we both setting our vision for 2019 at the start of the year.We reviewed mid way and we were excited at how much we had both accomplished.
You always listened to me 100 percent and this has been a great honour. You understood what I stood for as a woman and always shared my ideas and dreams.

Omonike words fail me, this vacuum can never be filled. I have loved you from the start and will continue to do so. I cherish every moment we shared. I take SOLACE in that you resting with the heavenlies. May your gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace.

Uhmm! To witness your laying to rest confirmed you are truly gone. What will I say than offer gratitude to God for a life well spent. You strive and achieved much in your little time here. So difficult to say goodbye but I just have to as God has ordained that I will bid you farewell to that great heaven. Thank God you knew Christ, Thank God for testimonies of how you affected lives. Thank God you shake your little world in your own way before the home call.

Dear Nike, aka TinTinKon!

I remember fondly our teenagehood! How so full of love you were, a bit reserved to strangers but immensely outspoken and warmly extroverted to close friends to which I am blessed to have been part of.

The news of your passing was too shocking for words, too early for us all, for ur darlyn hubs& very beautiful children. We take solace that you are with the angels and will continue to live in the bosom of our Lord Jesus always. Love you always, Rest in Eternal Peace beautiful one
