This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Opal Wright, 79 years old, born on April 20, 1924, and passed away on January 19, 2004. We will remember her forever.
15 years ago today mother left this world. She left when America was still the country I grew up in. Honestly i'm glad mother, daddy, and Tommy are in heaven and don't have to live through what is to come.
We lose so many in our lives that mean so much to us,but we always have our memories of that person and that is what we cherish.I have many beautiful memories of my Aunt "Pal" and think of her often. I'm so glad you were my aunt.
When I look at the pictures of Aunt Opal in her young days I can't believe a country girl from Emory, Texas could be so beautiful. It was not make-up, but just natural beauty. She never changed, beautiful inside and out. I loved her very much.
It's hard to believe it's been 12 years. With mother, and Tommy, and now Dad gone, I am the only one left of the four of us. Thank goodness I have my daughters, and granddaughters.
I am so blessed to have a relationship with Grandma like I did. I remember spending weeks with them during the Summer time and just talking and being together. I will always have these memories and miss those days with her and Grandpa.
Aunt Opal was my tall pretty aunt and I loved her so much. For many years we wrote to each other and I miss her long letters with the beautiful handwriting that could say so much and make you happy to get mail from her. She was very special to me, and to many others as well.
Aunt Opal is now with Uncle C.R and at peace. It has been a long time since I have seen my Texas kin but remember many good times when they visited SC and we all sang around the piano with Momma playing! This was written by my sister Janice Z. Starner.
