This memorial website is in the memory of our Mom, Grandmother & Great Grandmother, Ophelia Green, 88, born on August 17, 1920 and passed away on October 20, 2008. She left behind, a legacy of independence and strength, passed down to her only daughter Stephanie. We will never forget her. She is in our hearts and thoughts forever.

4 years later, it still feels like just yesterday, she was so fiesty & vibrant. It always amazes me how time may lessen the grief, but also seems to amplify the memories. This time of year, Grandma would be ordering & designing her perfect Thanksgiving dinner from Zippy's in Hawaii, or maybe from Honey Baked Ham, both of us excited over the delicious pictures in the catelogue.

The feeling of missing Grandma is more prominent at times than others as the years go by but she is never forgotten. It's a blessing to "almost" share the same birthday. It was an honor to celebrate our birthdays at the same time, it meant as long as she was around, I never celebrated alone. And boy could she celebrate. It's one of the things I miss most about her passing. Her party spirit

Ophelia Green, you are missed so very much. I wish I could have been there to take care of you and be with you in the end. I never got to say good bye or hold your hand and tell you I love you.
