The late Mrs Orieji Ijere was the "mother" assigned to me by the school principal, Miss Wall, of St Catherine's Girls Secondary School Nkwerre. She took care of me as a 'mother' to a 'daughter' in accordance with the school regulations. We were there till the war broke out and we parted afterwards. I last saw her when she visited the bank I worked in, some ten years ago. I never knew that, that would be the last we shall see each other. May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

The living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all....Whatever your hand finds to do,do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the grave, where you are going.
Ecclesiastes 9:5,10
My dear Aunty I will miss you dearly and am so happy to be part of you.I visited you before i travelled and didn't know that will be my last day to see you.but wen i came you where health and strong and you called me that that beautiful name you always call me "eribekee",Part of my life was raised by you and you really showed me the ture way in life.you impacted in me love, knowledge, wisdom etc.you taught me(us) how to love and to share with all no matter how little it is.Back then at 161 hospital road, aba.A place and a home I will always remember.u treat I,ola and nina as triplets and the boys ogow, chief, otisi and uk as and we all have grown with that love and affections for one another. But I hope towards what God says about the dead. At acts 24:15- "" there is going to be a ressitrctiom of both the righteous and the unrighteous"". So I know you have gone to sleep.Sleep well my dear Aunty till we meet again.I LOVED YOU AND STILL LOVE YOU.

My dearest mum, Am still shocked at your demise, the last time we met, you were very strong. Whenever you need to confirm any transaction from the bank, you must call me, you were industrious even after retirement, you were not tired. All the make up i use, you gave me. I pray that your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. I will forever miss u Amen

A Poem: To Nina's Mother
Remember Me
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow,
But remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,
I’ve only gone to rest a little while.

Although my leaving causes pain and grief,
my going has eased my hurt,
and given me relief.

So dry your eyes and remember me,
not as I am now,
but as I used to be.
Because, I will remember you all,
and look on with a smile.
Understand in your hearts,
I’ve only gone to rest a little while.

As long as I have the love of each of you,
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

Adieu Mama! Good night sweet mother! we will meet you in the morning. What a glorious morning that will be.

Rest in peace sweet mother, you raised wonderful children, especially your daughter(Nina), a sister and friend. You refused to 'spoil' her as an only girl but you did the best and we all enjoy that great investment of discipline and hard work in her. Sleep in the Lord.
