This memorial was created in memory of our beloved Orion. He was born on July 21, 1974 and passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2014. Orion lived and loved fully. He loved good food, good books and good conversation. He was a force that his big, beautiful heart couldn't sustain. His family and his many, many friends miss him dearly.

A memorial fund has been established by Orion's cousin Jonah Fruchter. The fund will go to Green Plate Special, an organization that empowers and inspires underprivileged youth through cooking, gardening and good eating. This organization embodies Orion's desire to make the world a better place through food and community. Orion's fund will be commemorated by a sculpture in their beautiful garden.
