He was the Associate Pastor with his son, Pastor Jon M. Peters at Union Springs First Assembly of God since June 2003. He was known by his church family as “Pop Peters”.

Dorothy Peters (his wife of 67 years) is left along with his five children (Dave and Julie Peters, Tom and Renee Peters, Bob and Margie Peters, Jon and Debbie Peters and Kim and Royce Whitehead). All of his children are in ministry and serving the Lord. He has 16 grandchildren and 16 great grand children.

He was loved by the community and his family. His greatest desire was that his whole family accept Jesus and serve the Lord. His ministry was repairing broken hearts, healing broken churches, 15 years working at Faith Farm in Florida with the addicted community pastored churches in Wisconsin, Ohio, Idaho, Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama.
