Oscar Breedlove Haskins, 86, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Monday, July 10, 2107 at Granville House in Oxford.
A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Dewitt and Allie Averette Haskins. Oscar was a longtime member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and quartet, taught Sunday School and was a trustee, and deacon. He was a Master Mason for 54 years, Past Master of Tally Ho Lodge #393 and Creedmoor #499. He was a Shriner and member of the NC Shriners Association.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Baptist Church by Rev. Dan Hill. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow the service at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are his wife Patricia Terry Haskins of the home; three sons, Ricky Haskins (Wanda) of Oxford, Randy Haskins and Steve Haskins (Debbie) of Creedmoor; two granddaughters, Lori Polichnowski and Ashley Haskins, two grandsons, David and Patrick Haskins; and three great-granddaughters, Addie and Lilly and baby Polichnowski due in December.
Visitation will be held Wednesday July 12, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
