His Life

Mr. Oscar James Jackson, the son of the late Arthur James Winston and the late Ella Mae Flournoy Jackson Bailey was born September 26, 1953 in Chambers County, AL. He departed this life on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the EAMC-Lanier.

He confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. C.L. Daughtery.

Buck”, as he was known to many, received his education in the Chamber County Public Schools. He was employed with West Point Pepperell for many years. After leaving West Point Pepperell “Buck” worked in the construction industry as a roofer and was very skillful in other areas.

Oscar always greeted you with a smile on his face. He was known to keep you laughing when you were in his company. He was nice and polite and would go out of his way to help others.  

He was preceded in death by his son, Cedric Deshon Huguley, a sister, Annie Faye Peyton; a nephew, Takeshi E. “Keith” Jackson and his grandparents, Nathan and Carrie Flournoy.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: two devoted and loving sisters, Lethia Jackson and Linda Jackson, Lanett, AL; one brother, Oscar Charles (Lanita) Winston, Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Deonbreye “Mookie” Huguley and DaQuayrius Huguley; three great grandchildren all of West Point, GA; aunts, Sarah F. Woody, Linda Flournoy, Lanett, AL; great aunts, Nellie Stephens, Atlanta, GA; uncles, Tommy Lee Woody, Roosevelt(Louise) Flournoy, Bobby(Christine)Jackson, Lanett, AL; Charlie W. Flournoy, Tallahassee, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
