His Life

Mr. Oscar James Malone was born on August 30, 1925, to the parentage of the late Leola North. He was reared by his aunt and uncle, the late Louise and Robert Malone. He departed this life on June 1, 2015 at West Georgia
Health Center, LaGrange, GA.

Oscar joined the army and fought in WWII where he Received a Certificate of Appreciation for War Service and a letter from President Harry Truman for his
leadership skills. He was employed by General Motors until he retired and then relocated to West Point, GA. After moving to West Point, GA, he married the love of his life, Mary Frances Winston. Frances was very devoted to him until his passing.

He joined the Keeney Memorial United Methodist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Ralph L. Thompson, Jr. Oscar was a faithful member until failing health.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Mary Frances Malone, West Point, GA; a sister, Katie (Clarence) Armstrong, Phoenix, AZ; an adopted sister, Louise Summers, West Point, GA; three children, Donald Winston, West Point, GA; Sandra Jackson, Conyers, GA; Deborah McLemore, West Point, GA; 11 grandchildren, Takevian Jackson, Caneshea Calloway, Shawndavious Sands,
Necore McLemore, Avonne Shealey, Donald DJ Winston, Shalanda Wright, Tekesha (Rick) Brown, Sakita Trammell, Jonai Jackson, and John Jackson II, 11 great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, Doris (James) Schell, San Diego, CA; Mary White, Lithonia, GA; Lizzie (Lee) Summers, Atlanta, GA; four brothers-in-law, R. L. (Bernice) Atkinson, Jonesboro, GA; Steve Atkinson, West Point, GA; Emanuel Atkinson, West Point, GA; Morris (Glenda) Atkinson, Atlanta, GA; a special cousin, Eddie Malone, Berkley, CA; a host of relatives and friends, close friends, Thelma Hodo, Mildred Scott, West Point, GA.
