This memorial website was created in memory of Big O, Otis Harris, born on June 17, 1948 and passed away on September 2, 2018, at the age of 70. He will be forever in our hearts.
Otis was born to parents Willie Sr, and Ola Harris on June 18, 1948 in New Orleans, LA. He grew up as the third child of four.
Otis enlisted in the United States Army where he was a communications specialist. He then continued his passion for communications and worked at Pacific Bell until his retirement in 1987.
Otis loved Ham and CB radios. He was certified and licensed. He was the President and lifelong member of the Golden Gate CB club out of Oakland, California in the 1970’s and 1980’s until the club disbanded.
Otis is survived by his daughter, Deborah Jackson in Colorado; his sister, Audrey Harris and niece, Charlene Harris; California. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Willie and Plas Harris and ex-wife, Rose.
