Graveside service to be held Thursday, October 25, 2018, 11 a.m., at Zion Memorial Gardens. Professional services provided by W.E. Lusain Funeral Home and Crematory, Birmingham, Alabama. 

Mr. Otis Reginald Carter was born April 30, 1952 in Jefferson County to the late Walter and Leona Carter.  He exchanged time for eternity on October 21, 2018.

Otis accepted Christ at an early age at New Pilgrim Baptist Church.  He later joined Zion Star Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL.

He was educated in the Birmingham School System.  He served proudly in the United States Army for nine years with tours in Vietnam and Korea.  He was also a Roofer by trade.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother (Leo Oden), sister (Theresa Hughes) and nephew (Walter Scott).

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Gail Carter, 2 daughters, Laura Carter-Fann and Theresa Jackson (Kenneth). One brother, Wesley Carter, 2 sisters, Odessa Williams and Carrie White (John), all of Birmingham, AL. Five grandchildren, Candace Davis (Robert), Tevin Fann (Alexis), Chantrel, Julia, and Kenneth. He has three great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
