TRIBUTE TO CHIEF SAMUEL OYETADE ABIOYE – THE ASIWAJU OF FAJI LAND.

'Erin wo, Ajananku sun bi oke, ASIWAJU lo!

My heart aches for the loss of Chief Samuel Abioye, but I stand in acceptance for this is the true nature of the world we live in.

Asiwaju was a rare asset whose uniqueness may be attributed to his generosity and philanthropic gestures all the time. No doubt the ripple effect of his demise will be felt in every corner of our beloved town 'FAJI' and beyond.

As the saying goes, the day a man is born is also the beginning of his death... Asiwaju has completed the cycle allotted to him. He always knew that one day, he must leave to meet his maker, and by all indications, he was prepared for the glorious and inevitable journey.

Asiwaju Abioye lives a fulfilled life, and his legacies will stand the test of time. 'KATO RERIN O DIGBO, KATO REFON O DODAN, KATO REYE BI OKIN, O DIGBO ELERIN, OSUPA KO LEE DABI OSAN, 'ASIWAJU TI SEWON TO LEE SE, O TILO'.

I sincerely know and believe that you have gone to a better place, enjoying a new life where pain and sickness do not exist. May God forgive your inequities and grant you paradise.

We will continue to miss you, our dear Asiwaju, Adieu, as you are resting in the bossom of the Lord Almighty.

Asiwaju Oyetade Samuel Abioye, your life was indeed an attestation to the fact that the worth of a man's life is in the quality of life lived and not the length of life spent. You came to the world in 1938 and departed in 2023, and I can categorically say that you lived a life worthy of emulation because your impacts will forever remain unforgettable.

Erin wo, ajanaku sun bi oke!!! It hurts us to the bone marrow, none of us here can say that we imagined that a day like this would come so soon, but, we are all indebted to death (Gbogbo wa la dagbada Iku).

Now and always, we shall always celebrate the legacy of ASIWAJU OYETADE SAMUEL ABIOYE, as one of the greatest men to have ever treaded the soil of our dear community, Faji in Odo Otin local government area of Osun State.

Chief Samuel Abioye, a global Chartered Accountant was the Asiwaju of Faji land, a devout member of the Anglican family in the diocese of Osun North, I am optimistic that Baba has transited to the world beyond to rejoice with the saints triumphant, Undoubtedly, all men shall taste death, but death cannot kill the names of good men and their legacies.

For as they say again, the only truly dead are those who have been forgotten. Asiwaju Oyetade Samuel Abioye can never be forgotten and will never be forgotten!!!

Baba Asiwaju would be most remembered for the unique role he single-handedly played on many positive issues. He contributed significantly in the provision of basic infrastructural facilities and amenities that alleviated the privation of his church, family, and community at large, to mention a few.

Baba Asiwaju was someone who spread happiness and peace wherever he was. Each time he was in Faji, everybody would remain happy and would not like to play far away from the house.

We praised his rare virtues such as hard work, love, care, forgiving heart, and peace-loving among others.

Chief Samuel Asiwaju was a father of inestimable value, His care, discipline, pieces of valuable advice, jokes, and hard work, among other virtues, would be missed forever. His memories would remain indelible in our hearts, We pray that his soul rests in the peace of the Lord. ADIEU!!!

TRIBUTE TO CHIEF SAMUEL OYETADE ABIOYE

No gain saying the fact that death is an inestimable end that will come at God's own time, it defiles human comprehension, and it is one of the many things that makes God unquestionable.

Baba Asiwaju, as I used to call and address you, your death confirms in my mind the popular saying that "It is not how far, but how well" your life was indeed an attestation to a life well spent.

Baba Asiwaju, a man of Timber and Calibre, an inspirational stakeholder, a philanthropist per excellent, a joy Giver "Eleyinju Anu", an honest, trustworthy, reliable father to ALL who crossed his path and a dependable member of St. John's Anglican Church Faji.

As your Vicar in St. John's Anglican Church Faji, since 2017 till your death, I can say that you were a blessing to me, my family, my ministry, your home Church, and the Diocese of Osun North at large.

Your contributions financially, morally, physically, and even in absentia is next to none in our Parish. Indeed no man is indispensable, but, your kind is rare, "Ka to rerin o di gbo, ka to r'efon, o do dan"

It would be very, very difficult if not impossible to forget you in a hurry, Baba Asiwaju, you left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill and left a lasting memory on the minds of many.

You voluntarily and singlehandedly paid our Mission Fund, otherwise known as Church Assessment for over two decades to mention but a few among other impacts and services you rendered to your maker through humanity before your transition to the great beyond.

Baba Asiwaju, though your death caught us unaware and very difficult to bear, yet we take solace in Jesus Christ whom you served with all your resources and life, that He will raise you and we will meet again to part no more.

It is our earnest prayer that the Lord will comfort, console, and keep all that you left behind.

We also pray that the Lord will grant your dear wife, our Iya Ijo of St. John's Anglican Church Faji, Chief (Mrs.) Yemisi Abioye and your children the enabling grace to sustain and build on your good legacy.

Baba Asiwaju, we love you, but Jesus loves you more.

Adieu Daddy!!! Chief Samuel Oyetade Abioye, the Asiwaju of Faji Land.

This is my tribute to my beloveth late Daddy, the Asiwaju of Fajiland Chief Dr Samuel Oyetade Abioye.  Who departed this sinful world on the 16th day of March 2023

Kokoro o je ki ng gbadun obi to gbo! O ma se o!

I had cause to meet Daddy for the first time in November 2019, shortly after the 2019 'Faji Day.'

We had gone there to brief our departed leader on how the programme went as well as the successes recorded from therein. But, as fate would have, things turned out so rapidly that I eventually became the subject (for discussion)

Our reverred monarch, HRM Oba Moshood Olawale Olaleke and the chairman of Faji day planning committee in person of Hon Awoyemi Soladoye ( Babaawo and Bobagunwa of Fajiland) had told Daddy Asiwaju if Fajiland Baba Samuel Oyetade Abioye how instrumental I had been to the success of that year's 'Faji Day'; that, but for God's intervention through yours sincerely, it possibly would have been a different story. There and then, one thing led to the other and I couldn't stop thanking the Stone of Israel for a day like that.

For example, Daddy told me how my father, the late Pa Ezekiel Olatunji Adebisi Adedeji had been instrumental to his leaving the village for Fasola Farms in Oyo where my father was working. According to him, his father had wanted him to become a carpenter, not even minding his brilliance; but the letter he received from my father, inviting him to Oyo changed the story of his life. He told me that there's no way he'd write the story of his life without my father's name occupying a conspicuous space.

Daddy, I remember vividly that, from that fateful day, my own story also changed. For instance, I began to see my father in you: that though, 'Baba ku, Baba ku'. And you never for a moment let me down as you would always call me on phone, advising me to face life with equanimity and that I should continue to be kind to all, no matter who must have offended me.

When I told you about my political aspiration and the challenges I was facing at a time, you stood stoutly behind me and did all a father could do for a daughter in need. Daddy, I remain grateful!

When Oreofe. my daughter's wedding was initially fixed for March 18, 2023, you were the first person to be informed, and you gladly accepted to grace the occasion. As a matter of fact, you accepted to be the 'Grandfather of the Day.' But as fate would have it, the date was eventually changed to Friday, March 24th 2023 as a result of the governorship election which was moved to that date. Sad that it was a day you never witnessed as you'd departed this sinful, wild, wide world of War before the D-day!

Omo agba ti o yokun ahun loni.

O dabo!
Baba rere lo!
Akikanju okunrin lo!
Igi araba wo ni Faji

May the Strength of Israel rest Papa Samuel Oyetade Abioye 's soul and comfort the family he left behind!

We write on behalf of the entire residents and members of Ladipo Daniel Estate CDA, Phase 3, Ijoko-Agbado Rd., Ifo LGA -Ogun State.

The news of Baba's transition to a higher glory came to us as a rude shock because he was a force of unity binding us together within the Estate. He spent his time and financial resources to ensure that all was well with us.

We could remember some 10 years ago when we were gifted a 500 KVA Transformer by the then administration of His Excellency Ibikunle Amosun FCA, Baba it was that singlehandedly donated the money for the transportation logistics.

Baba Abioye has left a gap that would be difficult for anyone else to fill because he was our rallying point whenever it was time to move the Estate forward. He came to the rescue after the Transformer that was given us was lying fallow for about 6 years without the required funds to install it, Baba made it a reality by ensuring that not only was it installed but it was also energised by the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC)

We owe Baba a lot of gratitude for bringing us LIGHT when there was DARKNESS, Who can step into his shoes?

Baba had also been playing a major role as a BRIDGE BUILDER, ensuring that there was peace, harmony and tranquility in the Estate. In fact, it was indeed shocking to hear the news of his transition as he was about to settle some pending misunderstanding within the Community.

We commiserate with the immediate family for the loss of Baba and in particular Mama, Ope Abioye and his entire household. The good Lord will COMFORT all the loved ones left behind and may the Almighty Father grant them the fortitude to bear his loss.

Adieu Baba Abioye!!!!!

Hmmm, is just like a dream to me when I was called on Thursday 16th March 2023 by 11:55 pm that you have passed on to glory. A flashback of our traveling arrangement to Kano for official assignment came to me. I remember your directive on the assignment, to God Almighty be the Glory for a life well spent on earth. I and my other siblings will miss you greatly. Your fatherly love, advice, and financial support towards us since we lost our parents some years ago cannot be overemphasized.
Daddy, truly, you are a father, full of compassion and mercy.
Daddy!!! You are our Hero, our mentor, a strong support, a hard-working strong individual who was always there for his children, families, and relatives. A Selfless and always willing to help anytime.
A principled Man and always stood firm for what he believed was right and just.
Dad, you will be missed forever. Continue to rest in the bosom of the Almighty till we meet again. For the Children of Late Mr. & Mrs. I. S. Durojaiye

ADEGBOYEGA ABIOYE

My father was not just a dad to me, but also a mentor, role model, and friend. As the first son, I had a special bond with him that was unlike any other. He was always there to guide me, teach me, and show me the way.
Growing up, my father instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and hard work. He pushed me to be my best, to never settle for mediocrity, and to always strive for excellence.
As I entered adulthood, my father remained a constant source of support and encouragement. He was there for me during the ups and downs of life, always ready with a listening ear, a kind word, and a gentle nudge in the right direction.
My father's impact on my life is immeasurable. He taught me the importance of family, the value of integrity, and the power of love. He was a man of great character and dignity, and I am proud to be his son.
Although he may no longer be with us, my father's legacy lives on through me and my siblings. We will honor his memory by living our lives with the same passion, purpose, and dedication that he exemplified.
Thank you, Dad, for everything. You will always be in my heart.

March 16, 2023, was a very sad day because our very wonderful father (Baba Faji) departed this world. You always looked very healthy and adhered strictly to healthy living but the inevitable death still sneaked in.
Over 24 years I have known you, you are a very caring father; The day I met you, when I needed to introduce my intent to take your daughter (now my wife) Oluwagbemisola' hand in marriage, to my greatest surprise you translated me from an intending son-in-law to an adopted son. We began a relationship of father and son and you related with me like a son even in the planning of the wedding and ever since then you have been a father indeed, you showed us love and to everyone around you.You will forever be in our hearts.
We love you but God loves you more, may you find peace in God.
Adieu Daddy

My father was a man who had a smile that brightened your days, who always made you feel good with his warm words of praise, He always knew what to do in order to make your wishes come true. If I had known that Monday the 13th of march 2023 was going to be the last time I would speak to him, I would have appreciated him even more than I already do, I would have talked to him even longer than the 25 minutes we had , I would have told him How much I loved and adored him. I will always cherish his advise and wisdom to the issues of life. Death leaves a heart ache no one can heal but love leaves a memory no one can steal, you will never be forgotten. Love ❤️ you Dad

Dear grandpa I am sad to let you go but I know you are in a better place now. I looked forward to going over to your house for new years every year. I remember running around your house with my siblings and cousins waiting for you and our parents to stop talking. Back when we would spend new years together I only cherished the gifts you would shower me and my siblings with and not the time we had together. I regret not cherishing enough time with you but I am grateful for the time we had together.I would have wanted more time with you but I am still happy I had an amazing person like you in my life that I called grandpa. May you rest in peace and enjoy the beauty of heaven.

March 16th was a sad day for me because the news was broken to me that I had just lost a very caring and loving father in law, the best anyone can ever wish to have. I am honored and lucky to have been graced with your presence and to have had the privilege of calling you Dad. You were a loving and caring Dad, father in law, Grandfather and just a heartwarming person in general. I would always look forward to seeing the ecstatic expressions the kids would have knowing they were about to have a good time and celebrate the New Years with you. I will forever hold dear to my heart the moment you showed up to my work place after hearing I wasn’t feeling well. Daddy I love you but I know God loves you more. Continue to Rest In Peace.

To put it in plain terms, he was simply an extraordinary man, unlike anyone I have ever met before and most likely, would never meet again. Wished you could stay with us much longer.

Grandpa, words cannot express the pain I felt when I realized I wasn’t going to see you again. You were the definition of an inspiration, brilliant, caring and thoughtful person. I have been reminiscing all the precious and loving memories we shared together such as the moments when I would see you and my Dad working together in the office. From a young age your influence has been the reason I’m pursuing accountancy in college at this moment, I intend to keep your legacy going and make you proud. I’ll always cherish the New Years celebrations we would have when I was younger and the money you would always give myself and my sisters that my mom would always take to keep safe for us (she took it for herself hahaha). How do I start to write a tribute when I can hardly believe that you are gone Daddy? Your passing was and is still a rude shock to me. Losing somebody I consider my father so suddenly (again) has not been easy for me. Atinuke asked me with tears in her eyes, ‘but why did Grandpa have to go to Heaven now?’ But there was no response. How can I respond when it has pleased the Lord to call you back home now. I was never prepared for what happened.

Daddy, thank you for all you did for us. You were a caring and loving father. i thank God that i got the privilege to know you Sir. I know by now my Dad would have met you to thank you for taking good care of me in his absence. You will be remembered forever. Rest In Peace Daddy.

My dearest daddy,
if I could write a story, it would be the greatest ever told, of a kind and loving father who had a heart of gold.
You lived a life of generosity, kind-heartedness, dignity and love. Your sensitivity towards people's needs is second to none.
Your wisdom and strict principles have been my guiding lamp as I journey in life.
You lived a simple life; you were neither flamboyant nor materialistic. You managed your resources wisely and taught us to do so.
When I walked through a scary path in 2015, you were there to hold my hands and walked with me just so that I didn't feel all alone.
I wish I had one more moment with you to tell you again, how much of an amazing dad you were and to probably ask you why you hated lizards.
I will miss being your pharmacist, your calls just to check up on me.
I will spend forever and a day remembering you, missing you and never forgetting how lucky I am to have had you as my daddy.
I love you dad with everything within me and because of what JESUS has done, we shall see again in eternity.
Rest on baba rere...

The absolute BEST DAD. Words cannot even begin to explain how exceptional and amazing you were. If I can be half the parent you were, I would consider myself great because you were such a great human. I'm grateful to God for every single day and every moment I had with you; I would cherish them forever. I love you with my whole being and I would continue to love you till eternity. You made a difference in the lives of many and you were also a great father to so many.
However, I am consoled by believing that you are in a much better place; free from the cares and worries of this world. Thank you for choosing to be my dad and and for every single thing that you were to me. I would miss you calling me Doctor every time you call me (*insert wide smile*).

Our father was loved so dearly, and brought so much happiness to the many hearts he touched. He was always kind, caring and understanding towards people. And if help was ever needed then it came so freely from him. He was a blessing and God's gift to everyone he came across and brought so much joy to us
Your passion for education reflected on the qualitative education that you provided for me and my siblings. Your drive in greeting positive results reflected in everything around you,
You have enjoyed the fruit of your endeavours even though I would have loved you to stay longer with us but the decision of God is supreme.

Grandpa was a man of few words, so when speaks, everyone listened. Thank you grandpa for showing me how to live a life without compromise. I know you were an inspiration to me and the whole family. I am sure you would want us to leave here not in mourning but rejoicing in life. Can't forget in a hurry my childhood living with you in Kano then was heaven on earth.
Thank you for everything and I am lucky to be your grandson I love you.

You were the most amazing father, grandfather, great-grandfather and father-in-law. You were the light of the family because you were a family man. Though you are no more but you're still beside us, unseen, unheard but near. For death leaves a heartache no one can
heal and love leaves a memory no one can steal, there are no goodbyes for us, wherever you're you'll always be in our heart. Rest in peace Daddy
