This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, PA NTOH PETER FRU 72 years old , born on March 13, 1947 and passed away on April 3, 2019. We will remember him forever.

Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “ Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them”.

Rev 14:13

God know why every thing happens. You were a Father par excellence and your indelible marks remain in the sands of time. It happened so suddenly that took us by surprise but even as you are gone, we learn the bitter lesson in life which is to live each day as if it were our last. Adieu Dad!

Pa Ntoh, as we your students of FGSS Nkwen always called you. You were special to me. I am what I am today thanks to your inspiration and love. My study of the French language stems from your constant and incessant availability to make me study. I remember not having a text book, but you always gave me yours to copy my exercises. I know God put you in my way so I could become the interpreter I am today. I'm so grateful. I regret and am sorry I couldn't meet you before you went to be with the Lord. Your legacy truly loves on... especially through me. Keep on resting in the Lord papa.

Never to be forgotten.

No matter how far I go, your words in class has always kept me strong. The foundation of understanding you left for me of the French language is unshakable. Proud to be your student. Wish I could reach out to see while you were around. I know you are in a better place. May the blessings of God on your life continue to reflect on your family and the comfort of God be their portion. Thanks for being a true teacher, not only for your subject but about things concerning life. Love you Pa.

Pa how suddenly has your departure from this world come. You couldn't wait to for your better half to come and you say bye-bye and farewell to each other. May your soul rest in perfect peace. Mme Anyam's family friend. Ruth Fombang.

Good night papa
Papa, even though we never met, my husband will never cease talking about his encounter with you the last time he visited Cameroon. He still remembers the love that you and mummy showed him and how you encouraged him to make healthy food choices. It was a brief but sweet visit, according to my husband. Though you have departed from us, such good memories will live with us for ever. May your gentle soul R.I.P.

Daddy how I wish your going was a dream. Daddy oh not now. I didn't know my traditional marriage would be the last time I would see you. Daddy you always Tell me that my first husband is my education. Daddy who will get up in the morning and give me carrot juice, cucumber or banana. My doctor, my teacher, my counselor. If I succeeded in O and A level French it's because of you because I knew nothing as far as French was concerned. I remembered a day you forced me to eat raw onions and that my health needs it. Daddy we love you but God loves you most. Rest in peace. Kuko Blessing

When I heard that you were admitted, I was very positive that I will come back for holidays and meet you and you will call me the way you usually did. The message of your passing was a blow not only to me nor the family but to the entire community. Even as a little boy, I remembered him calling me "Tse de boy" and will take me in to his arms. Brave, brilliant, supportive, gentle, honest, inspirational and above all loving and caring. Daddy, all these qualities describes your modest personality. You were a straightforward person who treated every child on the bases of equality and expected only the best from them. Daddy was so inspirational. I will never forget the new year resolutions we took every first of January before eating. I have gone this far because of the motivational words and the pieces of advice you gave us daily. What did you not teach us? He taught us everything. I must admit that daddy was hard when it comes to correcting us. I remember when I came back for the first semester break during my first year in the university. He asked cunningly "Tse de boy, what do you usually eat before going to school?" I said I always fry egg and eat with bread in the morning. He cried and asked if I wanted to die without enjoying this life. He then brought a big book as usual and asked me to read. Then I learned that I am supposed to boiled an egg for 5 minutes maximum and make sure not to consume more than three eggs a week. Daddy taught us that time was not meant to be wasted. He will always advice us not to sleep too much because there will come a time that we will sleep for ever. You were not only the best father/grandfather but a great mentor. When I think of where an intellectual like you will end, I then believe in Les Brown as he said the place where we can get the best treasure is not at the gold mines in South Africa but in the cemetery. Daddy is a whole library that will be consume by the earth. Daddy you have created a void that no one will ever fill. You will forever be in our hearts. By Tse Valery

Pa Ntoh, you have shocked the entire teaching family of Mankon with your sudden exit. Pa, you will never be forgotten in the entire Mankon Fondom for your zeal and expertise in galvanising people and moving them forward. Yes, you galvanised and moved the Mankon Teachers Union for two terms of office as president from 2006 to 2010. During your two terms, the group waxed strong and stayed afloat. Papa, thank you immensely. Only God, He who is now the only one capable of rewarding you, reward you abundantly. We cannot say it all, but go ahead peacefully to where we all shall meet to part no more. Adieu!!!     Secretary General during your reign on behalf of MATU.

Ngia Peter, as I preferred to call you, why have you done this to us? Your sudden demise has stunned everybody especially those loved ones closest to you. When we were attending to you on your hospital bed just after you were initially admitted in Saint Mary Catholic Hospital, we saw you mustering courage to overcome the health condition that brought you there. Observing you in that state, everyone who knew you intimately was astonished because that was the first time ever in your life that you were being admitted in the hospital and manifesting such a deteriorating health condition! Yet your demeanor continued to give hope to everyone around. Helas, we never knew that you were to slowly "fade away" later on like “the stars of the morning" in the Mbingo Baptist Hospital. Ngia Peter, you were a star, an icon whose presence always attracted all folks around you. You were always a mentor, a candle that loses nothing by lighting other candles. You were smart in virtually all aspects of life and in the end you succeeded to out-smart all of us. Bravo! We shall miss you dearly but shall grieve your departure from our midst with hope because we believe that the same God who gave you to live and impact our lives so powerfully is the same Almighty Father who has invited you home to His bosom at His own ripe time.
Adieu. Adieu. Adieu

Daddy, I am still to recover from this shock!!! The news of your illness and sudden demise is yet to sit well in my mind. I was hoping it is a dream that I will wake up from but it sure is not. Daddy my heart is heavy and my eyes full of tears because I owe you something. You gave me an Important assignment which I kept on procrastinating to do and finally didn’t. I wish God could give us 30 minutes together to do what we planned. Thank you for raising my mother in to a power house that she is today. Because of the discipline you instilled in her she has raised us all in the same vein and we are proud of you. I wish we had more time together Daddy, but God who loved you more needed you now. Rest on our Icon.

Daddy where are you? God only takes the best. He saw you getting tired and there was not going to be a cure. He put his arm around you and whispered “come to me my son.” You were the one who took my mother’s hand and brought her up to be the powerful lady she is. She does not stop talking about you, how you taught her to be hardworking and resilient in life. She has done a good job in passing down those qualities to us. This sudden illness just came and snatched you from this wicked world. We fought and did all that needed to be done medically but God decided otherwise. If sophisticated medical equipment and Procedures could sustain you, we would not be writing these eulogies. With tear filled eyes I watched you fight for your life. I watched you going away. I was helpless and frustrated because there was nothing more I could do. Although I loved you dearly, I could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hardworking hands were put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that he reserves the best for himself .Adieu Daddy, we love you but God has a better plan. Rest well.

What a shock! What bitter truth that cannot be disputed! That an icon, a pillar, a mentor, a great man of integrity has faced out his life like a candle in wind is unbelievable. My brother, my father who shaped my life by imbibing in me great virtues of hard work, love, honesty, truthfulness and humility has bowed to God's irreversible decision. I appreciate you Lord for giving me such a role model to father me through life. That I witnessed you fade away like the stars of the morning and I and the doctors and the nurses could do nothing to hold you back proved God supremacy over all. To you be the glory awesome God! Thank God that he gave me the opportunity many times to demonstrate my love and appreciation to you and you confirmed it by always reminding me that you are proud of me. You left your mark on the sand of time. You touched the hearts of many by your love and concern. You bore the burdens of many to see them through life. Your wise counsel shed light in the lives of many. You pulled the crowd by your character wherever you went as I witnessed and admired you as a growing up child from 1968 when I started leaving with you till you faced out of this life. Have a peaceful repose in the bosom of our God my Hero!

Pa Ntoh, news of your death to Sunrise College Partners was received with a lot of shock and consternation. Since we met less than two weeks ago in Sunrise college prior to your departure. We had been hoping that the present socio- political crisis rocking our Region which have negatively affected our establishment will soon be over. Now, your departure has created an irreparable damage for us and our hopes further exasperated. How can we absorb the shock when what you conceived, worked for and sacrificed so much, shall come to reality when you will no longer be there? We cannot cease thinking of how committed and dedicated you were from 2007 - 2016 as a Teacher, Principal, and above all a Shareholder of the college. We are convinced that the kind of seriousness with which you handled Sunrise issues, is the same way that you handled other issues of these world. May these endeavors usher you in to God's bosom for eternal rest.

OH DADDY! It’s hard to know with a very heavy heart that you are no more and I won’t see you again. Wise one! you always called me. Some few weeks ago, I will so glad to see you on Facebook and the only comment you made was “wise one”! Hope you are doing great!
You were such a great man and positively influenced everyone in the family. You remained a cover to us all. An ever present aid in times of celebrations; even when we had difficulties you were there to lend a hand and saw us through. Just your presence alone at certain instances was enough solution to certain Issues the family thought were very complex.
Your incessant encouragements and care remains a legacy to our family. Your passing away will forever remain a blow to me and will create a vacuum so difficult to fill in the family at large. I can remain comforted in what the Lord Jesus says in the Gospels of John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
I KNOW YOU HAVE FOUND ABODE AND REST IN THE BOSOM OF THE MOST HIGH GOD

Daddy...l just can't believe l am sitting here and typing an eulogy for you.But daddy, this is not the agreement we had in May 2018,when l came to work in Cameroon.l told you l will come back again  for a family visit and we will spend more time together and you joyously agreed. You always wanted our success and celebrated with a loud laughter and a high five when you heard good news.Daddy, do you remember our trip to Wum when l was 9 years old ?Just you and l….?We stopped to see the Menchum Fall, l was so scared but you held my hand and reassured me of  my safety.I vividly remember how you protected me like an egg in that car!!.. Daddy, you travelled all the way to Buea to witness my graduation, what about my wedding? You were there from beginning to the end.During every sad and happy moment in my life, l saw you or heard from you.
Daddy,  you inspired all of us to  be hardworking and to invest in our offspring. You were always on one project or the other.Always working daddy, even our unquestionable creator noticed it and called you to come rest with Him while  watching the flourishing of the seeds you have planted.
Daddy, you always spoke lengthily with your sister.Did you tell her about this heart throbbing sojourn of no return of yours?
Mami will talk about her brother when the cock crows and her brother when its dusk. Her brother when akwa is not  pounded hot and her brother when the soup is poorly seasoned..At least 365 mentions of “When l was living with my brother” per year from mami.Daddy,  for bringing up a woman of mami's calibre, you deserve an accolade and that you will get whether alive or dead. You have left behind a sea of power houses,a huge vacuum in our hearts and above all, undeniable inspiration for discipline, responsibility bravery, generosity and integrity.
Goodnight Legend of inestimable value. You have indeed fought the good fight.Adieu Daddy.

It's difficult to comprehend that you have gone to the world beyond. When we learnt that you have been taken to the hospital, we thought that you will be back home in a day or two. Little did we know that things will degenerate so fast and you were actually on a journey of no return. It's still like a dream to many of us. Daddy you were a soft spoken man full of wisdom. You shared information with me on whatsapp on a wide range of topics like health, nutrition, marriage, politics etc. You ran a very good race and fought a very good fight on earth.
Daddy I am thankful to you for grooming your daughter Estella so well and giving her hand to me in marriage. It's unfortunate that you didn't even have the opportunity to touch and feel your 3 little grand sons, Evan, Nathan and Jovan. I trust that they will all grow up to learn of the legacy you left on earth. It's hard to say good bye, but until we meet again to part no more adieu.

Daddy,
My Hero, my mentor, my teacher, my nutritionist.
You had it all figured out when it concerned food. Your health was always your top priority.
Your extensive reading/knowledge made you a great asset to all of us. Myself and many others were still hoping you'll live longer to help us navigate the treacherous paths of this world. Yet the cold hands of death had other plans.
I'm happy you bestowed upon me your knowledge and hardworking spirit. These I will carry for the rest of my life. Words cannot explain the void you've left but I know God has a better plan for you. Watch over us from heaven.
I miss you dearly Daddy and the kids you didn't get to see send their love.

O dad your finest quality was patience. You had an inherent ability to listen, to absorb and offer me the kind of attention that no one could. Oh dad a man like no other, you nurtured me, taught me and fought for me. You also gave me unconditional love. Words are not enough to describe your importance. Life without you will be so sad, but knowing your soul is with God, I know you are with me always. I will always love and miss every single moment we shared together. As long as I live, you will be remembered. I could write a million pages about you but one thing I want you to know is that I love and miss you so much. I wish you could come back but I don’t want you to suffer again. I will always love and miss you with all my heart. Until we meet again.

Daddy a man of integrity, love, and fatherly. A man who does not discriminate, straight forward. Oh daddy no doubt the lord told me " I will take my son away because the world hates him, for he is a man of integrity." Daddy u were too much. Tears will never dry off my eyes daddy. Where are you? I pray I should live to love and serve both God and man like you, so that I will meet with you one day. Daddy I will miss you. Rest in peace.....

The gap is too wide. Each time I see you; be it in the market or any where, you greet me by finding out whether I am physically fine by ( embracing me) and calling me Mami.
Oh my beloved daddy where are you? You have been moving with me from one place to another. We moved to Fontem and came back. To many occasions, and we came back together. This time around we went to Bingo. Daddy up till now, I dont know how you left without telling me good bye. What do I tell the family? You shared your ideas with everybody, groups, and associations etc. Daddy, I am grateful that you implanted a lot of moral values in me and the rest of the family. We promise not to let you down. Till we meet to part no more. Daddy my daddy rest peace.

Oh daddy my father, my brother and husband. We have moved on in life so well until now that we have fulfilled our vows. You took care of all the family members. You listened to all complaints and solved them the best way you could. Above all you swallowed all insults hurled at you. As husband and wife we lived a life of dialogue. We listened to each other and understood ourselves. You loved and cared for your children. I regret so much that I was absent when you needed me most, to attend to you on your sick bed. I prayed and prayed to God to spare your life but he took the best decision.
Daddy you will forever live in our hearts. May God grant you eternal rest in his bosom.

Hard work , decency, reliability, honour, dignity, respect, teacher, mentor: these are all qualities that my father not only held in high esteem, but practised every day during his time on this earth. He was a serious and disciplined man, but he could never resist the opportunity to have laugh with friends and loved ones, given half the chance.
If I could turn back time and once more hear your voice:i'd tell you that out of all the dads you would still be my first choice. Please always know I love you and no one can take your place. Years may come and go but your memory will never be erased.
REST IN PEACE DAD

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."Jer (29:11). What a loss! Lord grant us the fortitude to bear this loss.
Dad was a teacher of all things. His method was simple and he taught by example. He loved us greatly and this he showed by his actions. He sacrificed a lot for us to have the best of anything.
Dad was a disciplinarian and he made us understand that the only discipline that ever lasts, is self discipline. He inspired us with a moral compass and made us people of integrity. His ability to affect those around him positively was second to non.
He lived a life though devoid of trappings of fame and fortune was a shining star, whose light will continue to shine in years to come through the many he groomed and inspired. You were an uncommon icon Dad, and you will be greatly missed. I wish we had more time so I could hear your voice again. During our conversations, the sounds of your laughter still resonate in my head. Not to forget your never ending advice. I know you have taken your rightfull position in the Lords' bossom.Rest on Dad. Farewell!

Daddy it still seems like a dream to us that you are no more. You were a man of integrity, character, wisdom, and an icon in the family and every association you found your self in. You were a man who sacrificed everything for us so that we could become better people in life. It is rather sad and unfortunate that God decided to take you away from us so early, without you enjoying the fruits of your labour. You have left a void in our lives that no one can fill. Our hearts are heavy, broken and we still find it difficult to accept you have embarked on a new journey of eternal life. Daddy we pray to God, that he accepts you in his bosom of everlasting life. BIOGRAPHY OF MR NTOH PETER FRU

April 10, 2019

His educational background

He attended primary school at CS Ntambeng where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. He studied for four years including a one year probation period in France. After teaching for five years, he continued to pursue studies in Higher ENS Yaoundé where he obtained a DPLEG.

His career

He worked as teacher in C.E.S Doume, G.B.S.S Fontem, G.H.S Wum, G.H.S Bali and finally G.H.S Mankon where he finally retired in 2010. . He also worked as part time teacher in Full Gospel Secondary School Nkwen. He was a shareholder of Sunrise College and acted as teacher and later on principal from 2007-2016.

Family life

He married the love of his life Mrs.Cecilia Siri Fru in 1975; they were blessed with six children (one of whom is of blessed memory) and six grandchildren.

His spiritual life

Pa was a baptized, confirmed and married catholic and served in the Christian Men’s Association (CMA). He was Chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council and later became chairperson of the Parish Finance Committee of Ntambeng in the recent past.

His social Life

Pa was a very sociable person a ‘people’s man”. He belonged to many social groups and was very attached to his family. He was a problem solver as he often endeavored to solve every problem presented to him by any individual be it family, friends or acquaintances. He was a good adviser, a disciplinarian, strict and generous. He was a good nutritionist as he often advised those around him to eat healthy. Pa Peter believed in hard work in all spheres of life. His hard work in academics raised him to a very high level of the civil service before his retirement. Besides his teaching profession, he was equally engaged in farming ( food crops and animal husbandry). He served as a liaison between donors and local farming cooperative groups.

Attachment to his family

Pa Ntoh Peter worked relentless to raise the reputation of his immediate and extended families through education and infrastructure. He touched the lives of both the young and the old of the family as well as the society at large. He tirelessly looked after the aged, less privileged, with a lot of concern, love and generosity. Some found his frankness offensive, but later on appreciated  the fact that his actions had a positive impact on the lives of his children, brothers, sisters, cousins, relatives and friends.

His final Days

He was very healthy physically by Sunday March 24 2019. He fulfilled his Sunday obligations that day. On Monday 25th March 2019, stayed mostly indoors and  talked very little to the children who were at home with him. Then on Tuesday morning the children noticed that he moved and talked with difficulty. He was then rushed to the St Mary Soledad Catholic hospital. Two days later he was transferred to the Mbingo Baptist Hospital, where he was operated upon twice on the head. His health became very critical, despising the ingenuity of the doctors until he breathed his last on the 3rd April 2019 in the intensive care unit of that hospital.

May his gentle soul find rest in the bosom of the Lord Most High.

Charming Papa

April 11, 2019

Papa your death took me off guard because it was too soon. I meet you once in 2015 in your house in Bamenda and that memory will forever leave especially your charming smile. During our conversation while having a beer you advice me on several topics and I am using your advice till date...

You havested some butter  plums from your backyard for me and I planted one which will be bearing fruits soon. Papa my plan was to surprise you with the fruits from the plum but you surprise me the most and only God knows why....

I will miss you forever untill we meet again

Pa, You will be missed

pa, to think that you are no more is unbelievable. Since I came to know you, you have always  stood by me. I can see you in the rain with your whole family during my mother-in-law burrial.  During my sister-in-law burrial you were again there. I had hopes that even though my husband is gone, you have come to stand the gap. Now pa you have again left me on the cross road without  signal. Well pa the Lord needs you now and more than we do. Go ahead  and prepare a place for  us. May You rest in peace till we meet again. .
