The Fellowship honoured him after his retirement from the University and made him its Life Patron. Following his retirement and relocation to Ibadan city, Pa Adegoke in the full expression of his faith joined the Prison Sub-Committee of the Chapel of the Resurrection, a ministry he carried forward from his days at Ile-Ife University. He was also the Chairman of the counselling sub-committee which he also conducted with a passion. After the demise of his heartthrob, he became an active member of the widows and widowers’ committee.

Pa Adegoke selflessly and silently served the Master in various capacities following his relocation to Ibadan. He was the Auditor of the Chapel of The Resurrection for two terms. He also wrote the Account Instruction of the Chapel during his tenor with several revisions as necessary. He was a life member of the Gideon's International, Nigeria. Although, he has retired he was fervent and not tired in the things of the Lord.

We give God all the glory and praise for his life and times. Of all the blessings on this side of eternity, nothing really compares with the privilege of being sired by one of heavens gift to us all.

Sayings that tell a tale....

Death is not the extinguishing of a light,
but the putting out of the lamp
because the dawn has come.
Rabindranath Tagore

There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.
Albert Einstein

We make a living by what we get;
we make a life by what we give
Winston Churchill

The song is ended, but the melody lingers on...
Irving Berlin

Death - the last sleep? No, it is the final awakening.
Walter Scott

For who knows – life could be one looooong dream – Yemi Akinbamijo

When you are born, you cry, and the world rejoices.
When you die, you rejoice, and the world cries.

In the godforsaken, obscene quicksand of life,
there is a deafening alleluia rising from the souls of those who weep, and of those who weep with those who weep. If you watch, you will see
The hand of God putting the stars back in their skies one by one.
Ann Weems

Say not in grief he is no more - but live in thankfulness that he was
Hebrew Proverb

I fall asleep in the full and certain hope
That my slumber shall not be broken;
And that, though I be all-forgetting,
Yet shall I not be all-forgotten,
But continue that life in the thoughts and deeds
of those I have loved.
Samuel Butler
