A Columbus, GA native, she was the daughter of Mrs. Annie Rose Jakes Mercer and the late Oliver Mercer, Sr.
A loving wife and home-maker, she attended Baker High School and was a member of Nichols Chapel A.M.E. Church in Phenix City. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver Mercer, Jr.
Surviving other than her mother are a loving and devoted husband of 36 years, Mr. Larry L. Harris; her children, Rashan A., Gino T., Nico T., and Kenyatta Y. Harris; sixteen grandchildren; a brother, Antonio Mercer; a devoted cousin, Patricia Battle; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
