Pasco Joseph Rosato, Jr, died on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 72 years of age.  He was preceded in death by his son, Pasco Joseph Rosato, III, his mother; Ruby Baucom Rosato; his father Pasco Joseph Rosato, Sr.; and his infant brother, Michael Gerard Rosato.  He is survived by his wife, Grace Victoria Rosato, daughter Amy Rosato Novak (Michael), adopted son Kelly Hohnholz (Rosato), step-son Joseph Pitts (Melissa), step-daughter Amy Oliver (Chip), and daughter-in-law Mandi Rae Trott (Pasco J Rosato, III).  He had seven grandchildren.  They are Vivien R. Novak, Ruby Elaine Rosato, Matilda Rae Rosato, Jackson Pitts, Mary-Grace Pitts, Addison Oliver and Isabella Oliver.  He is also survived by his three sisters, Marlesa Rosato Burson (Jeffrey), Regina Rosato McDonald (James), and Christina Rosato Ruthven (Martin), along with numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Pasco grew up in Ensley and Forestdale.  He graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School in 1965.  He attended the University of Alabama before enlisting in the United States Army where he served from 1967-1970.  He graduated from Auburn University in 1974. He worked at US Steel in Fairfield until his retirement.

There will be a Mass celebrating Pasco’s life at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church located at 5514 Double Oak Lane, Birmingham, AL 35242 on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11:00am.  There will be an inurnment following Mass at the Our Lady of the Valley Columbarium located on the church grounds.  Due to COVID-19 social distancing issues, there will not be a visitation prior to Mass or a reception after the inurnment.  The family is planning a Celebration of Life gathering honoring Pasco in September 2020.  Information to be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that in memory of Pasco, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  The link below will take you to his fundraising page.
