It’s been 6 years since you went home but it still seems like a life time. I have mentioned your name to so many and how much of a mentor you were to me over the years.

I can still see and hear your last song you sang in our last revival together swing low
Sweet Cheruiyot coming fourth to carry me home. 

You have been miss so much but your love for God has carried us through the hard times and just knowing one day we will all be re-united. Carry on Pastor James until we meet again sometime soon. Love and miss you my dear friend. Your right hand buddy. Evangelists Doris Westerman

I still can't believe you were taken from us, but God new He needed you home and home you went....You have been so dearly missed the past several month's and I talk about you often, and how such an inspiration you were to me over the year's, There has even been time's to where I would call out your name and say "Pastor James if only you would have not left us, you would lead us in the right direction no doubt, but I have had to depend on God for His direction's since you were not here to talk to.....I miss you buddy,,, and I know there are many other's that do as well....I know you are shouting on the hills of glory, for you got your wish and have made it home.....Until we meet again on the other side of Glory enjoy and some day stand at the gates and look for me, for I will be there too.....Love Ya Pastor, you will always be in my thoughts and in my heart.......Have A Very Happy 82 Birthday today and forever.

I only had the privilege of meeting him twice, but I could feel the spirit of God on him like on very few. It was obvious to me that he was a true man of God.

Br. James Gay.Full of the excitement and strength of the Lord. He came to me at Daystar Church on Vine St. in Cincinnati and said; Sister the Lord said quit worrying about your sons! The Lord has them in his hands. Br. Gay didn't know that i had sons and that i prayed for them all day and even at night! But such a peace came over me and from that time I could just pray for them and let it go. He was a joyful man of God <3 We love you Br. Gay

Some people walk into your life you meet and you go on but this man James Gay AKA pappy James left an impact on my heart he was loving encouraging and amazing man of God and I can hear him singing with the angles RIP Pappy thanks for believing in my ministry and all your encouragement. Not sure if I will get to say good bye down here but I will see you in glory.

As I prepare this memorial for my dear friend, pastor and mentor I can't help but think of all the past memories we have had together ministering in different churches together...He was not only a great friend, but he was a Spiritual Father, My Mentor that showed me the life of Jesus.

He was a great man of God that lived what he preach, He was a great husband to his wife Angia, and a great father to his children Steven, Pam, and Paul Gay. He was a great grandfather and a great friend to many.

Even though he will be sadly missed we all know that he has long desired to go and meet his heavenly Father...He loved the Lord beyond words can express....He walk the walk, he talk the talk and he lived his life for the Lord....He started preaching the word of God at the age of 12 and Evangelized for 62 years raising his family...

Pastor James founded Gospel Revelations Ministries at a early age which I am proud to say he ordained me in the 1980's, at a little church in Marion Indiana. He one of the best men of God that I have ever met in my times of the ministry and I will forever miss him, I will miss his funny jokes, his life stories that I know many of us have heard time and time again.....There isn't another Friend, or Pastor that will ever take the place of my dear Friend....Pastor James I love you buddy and I will forever meet you again some day....I know you are shouting on the hills of glory for you have run your race and now you have finished your corse...R.I.H. my dear friend until we meet again....Love you, Your right hand Helper Evangelist Doris Westerman.
