uncle pat on the mountains of pomeroy , in a little village town , lived a fine irish man , with his wife and family clan , he awoke up every morning with the crack and cup of tae, and pa and his niece mary would have a smoke day to day . he was one for the banter, a good debate too, but when him and George got together only dr google would do. he enjoyed a game of pool, a drink and the crack, playing his cards at the pub adviseing his nephew jack . he has six fine boys , they are his pride and joy , but the apple of his eye was annmarie not a boy , she is the speaker for ireland , she can talk all day , but she mended his heart when she came home to stay . the boys he advised and forever he loved , they never be alone , for he will watch from above . his darling is eileen , his joy and delight he was the happiest , that she was his wife , they had long years together so happy and true , but they had so many more dreams for what they could do, for better for worse , two hearts one life , this couple came together as husband and wife . there are so many stories so many things we could say , pat your gone for now , but in our hearts you will stay . (read by mariah mc donagh at pats funeral) wrote by niece catherine and jennifer
