Pat was the daughter of I.T. and Ethel Strain. She was the oldest of four children.
Pat was born in Alexandria, La.  She attended Huddle Elementary until the family moved to Ball, La. in 1960.  She attended Tioga Junior High and Tioga HighSchool. Pat was in numerous clubs.  Her favorite thing in high school was singing in choir under the direction of Mrs. Smith.  She was a graduate of the Class of 1965.  She attended LSU of Alexandria, where she got her degree in Elementary Education.  Pat was a fifth grade teacher at Paradise Elementry for 34 year.  She retired in 2003. Pat's faith in the Lord was strong.  She was a memeber of Tioga Baptist Church.  She taught Sunday school, Childrens choir and Vacation Bible School. She loved working with children.  When she retired, she became Nane,  this is the name Misty gave her for watching her children, Maggie and Matthew.  They were her babies.  All of neices and nephews meant the world to her.  She was so proud of all of their accomplishments.  
Pat was diagnosed with Gall Bladder cancer May 13, 2011.  Pat lost her battle on August 11, 2011.  She is now singing in God's choir and rejoicing with Dad, Mom and Tommy.
