Dear Mom, It's hard to believe it's been 20 long years since you passed on. Your grandchildren are almost all grown! I wish they could have known you. Holly inherited your artistic talent, and Lily looks a lot like you. Brian is working hard and doing well- you would be proud of him. I love you and miss you as always. I hope the masses have helped. I am praying we will all be reunited in heaven one day. My hope is in God's amazing grace and merciful love. Please pray for us all if you can. The spiritual battle on earth is getting intense. I will pray a rosary today for you. With faith, hope, and love in Christ Jesus, Ann

Mom has showed up in my dreams a lot lately. She was loving, kind and helpful. Crying right now as I write this.

Happy birthday, Mom. I love you and miss you more than ever. Please pray for all of us. Ash Wednesday is tomorrow. I will light a candle for you in church. I pray with fervent hope that we will all be reunited someday in Heaven, spending eternity with God our loving Father and Christ our Lord. Amen. In loving memory, Ann

Mom was remembered in mass for All Souls Day last week. Her name and Dad's name were read. Father in heaven, the souls of my mother, Patricia, and my step father, Jim, are in your loving hands. Have mercy on them, I pray, remember their faith, charity, humility, and sufferings on earth, and if needed, purify and heal them quickly, that they may enter into the holy light of your loving Presence. Amen. Mom and Dad, please pray for us. We love you.

I was remembering you, Mom, yesterday on Mother's Day. I even got a card for you, which you can see in the photos to the right. Mom, in case you need it, I am offering masses and prayers for you, so you may leave Purgatory soon to be united in Heaven with Christ our Lord. I'm asking our blessed mother, Mary, to pray for you, too. I love you and miss you so much! Love, Ann

Remembering you, Mom, with love, on your birthday, yesterday, and praying for you to enter into the Joy of Heaven. * * * In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Most merciful Father, we commend our departed into Your hands. We are filled with the sure hope that our departed will rise again on the Last Day with all who have died in Christ. We thank You for all the good things You have given during our departed's earthly life. O Father, in Your great mercy, accept our prayer that the Gates of Paradise may be opened for Your servant. In our turn, may we, too, be comforted by the words of faith until we greet Christ in the glory and are united with You and our departed. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I remember Mom's dry sarcastic sense of humor. I still laugh at stuff she used to say.

Tonight I woke up in the middle of the night and I looked at the clock. It read 2:28. Weird.

Saturday was Mom's birthday. She would have been 76. I miss her so much. On Saturday, we celebrated my MIL's birthday, which is the same day, and she acknowledged Mom's birthday, too. Mom, your family is well and we're sending our love to you!

My mother, Patricia Delaney, was a beautiful person. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was creative person and a talented artist. Deeply caring and compassionate, she was truly pure of heart and a gentle soul. She worked hard at whatever she did. She inspired me with her love of learning and her appreciation of order and beauty wherever it could be found. She loved reading and visited the library regularly. She was especially interested in history and genealogy. She had a distinctly Irish, down-to-earth wisdom and sense of humor that I have partially inherited. She loved her husband, Jim. They were married for over 16 years. She also loved her three step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She delighted in spending time with her grandson Brian. Although she never got to meet her granddaughters, Holly and Lillian, I am sure she is smiling down upon them from Heaven. We love and miss her very much!

It is hard to believe that my beautiful mother, Patricia Cady Delaney, died over 15 years ago. Yesterday would have been her 75th birthday. Mom was a kind, gentle soul and a loving mother to my sister Liz and me. Sensitive and intuitive, she sometimes struggled in a hard world, especially after she lost her husband of almost 17 years, Jim Delaney. But she found purpose, strength, and joy devoting herself to her family, seeking knowledge, appreciating small things, and creating beauty wherever she could. Mom was a caring listener and always knew how to make us feel better. I wish we could have spent more time together, especially in the years before her too-soon passing. I love her and miss her dearly, now and always.

Today is Mom's birthday. She would have been 75 today. I miss her so much! She died in 1998 and I still feel sad as if it happened yesterday. I know she is in the astral plane and feeling no pain or sorrow. She was my best friend.

After Mom died she haunted or visited me multiple times. About two weeks after she died, I came down the stairs in the morning to see that the cookie jar and the coffee maker had switched places. I didn't think much of it at first so I moved them back to their original positions. The next morning they switched places again. I know for a fact that I do not sleep walk. Amazing!
