While reading the 23 Verse of the Tao we came across these words: “… Everything is on its return trip home the moment it comes into being.” Although experiencing loss is always difficult we found these words both helpful and comforting on this fourth anniversary for Pat's return home.

Three years have passed so quickly. It feels like only yesterday Pat, Jim, Melinda and I were sitting in a restaurant talking about the high school reunion Jim and Pat had just attended. Pat was a person that could spawn good memories for everyone she touched. Like a favorite song the good notes from Pat’s life will continue to remind us that she was returned home much too quickly.

This has been the hardest year of my life, without Pat, we met in junior hi school in 1943 and have been friends until june 10 1950 and have been soul mates ever since until one year ago today when God took her to her heavenly home forever, I never knew how much I loved her until this time last year, now I really know how important she was in my life and thank God for her and the children.

We will always remember Pat's soft-spoken voice, gentleness, and personal kindness. Her calm and tender spirit was filled with optimism and harmony. Her inner strength and faith in GOD never wavered. May GOD watch over Pat and keep her soul safe through all eternity.

The first time I met Pat she immediately made me feel like I was a part of South Gate High School even though I was 20 years younger. She was so sweet and welcoming. I feel that she was loved by everyone who knew her. She always seemed happy and was so pleasant to be around.

She was one of the most beautififul women in every way
that I have ever known, Iwas married to her for 61 years and everyone was better than the last, she was kind to every one and hardly ever saw a stranger and never talked negative about anyone I loved her very much
