Patricia Joan Michigan, 86, of Mullica Hill went to her rest the morning of Tuesday, July 27, 2022 in the company of her son Scott Michigan, his wife Mary Anne Michigan of Mullica Hill, NJ and daughter Leslie Michigan Ostlund of St. Mary’s, OH. She had two beloved granddaughters, Anastacia and Mikhayla. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Cathleen Gauthier and her sister Maureen. She is survived by her sister Kathleen Kalen of Bristol, Rhode Island.
To know Patricia was to love her. She was an incredibly welcoming and kind individual who went above and beyond for her family. She moved from Pittsburgh to Mullica Hill in 1998 to be close to her family and her granddaughters, where she played an influential role in their lives. Whether it be taking her granddaughters to the shore to look for Cape May diamonds or beating everyone in a game of poker, she loved being an active part in her family’s lives. She was frequently in contact with nieces, nephews and friends from her days in Pittsburgh.
She was a long-time resident of Mullica West Apartments where she had many friends. She was a member of the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit and participated in the Senior Group activities. She had a warm heart and great sense of humor. Lily, the family dog, loved visiting Patricia in her apartment and would receive the best affection. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. She is resting with the Lord.
Patricia’s family would like to recommend Bayada end-of-life services for anyone in search of hospice care. Patricia passed peacefully and in no pain in the comfort of her son’s home, and Bayada was able to help facilitate this respectfully and professionally.
Services private at the convenience of the family.
My mother was giving, generous, kind. She always thought about other people before herself. She loved God, her family, and was always the first one to volunteer to help. She never thought a bad thing about a single person her whole life. And through all the challenges in life she always prevailed. She will be so very deeply missed.
