To our beloved friends and family,

We will dearly miss our Patti who left us on December 29, 2015.  We are reaching out to you in the hope that we can all reach out to each other as we take in our loss.

It helps greatly to remember the love she gave to us all.  For every moment of love she expressed or gave us in her lifetime, let us remember and pass it forward to someone else who grieves.  Our best testiment to her is to express appreciation for the blessing of her love in our lives.

This website was created to help friends and family share memories of Patti.  Whether you choose to write a life chapter or would simply like to say a few words, we encourage you to share your memories here.  You may also want to share pictures or videos of Patti.  We are hoping this website will help us all reconnect as we honor our sweet Patti, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.

With all our love,
     Dave (Beppi)
Karl, wife Madeleine and children Amelie and Daniel
Jill, husband Larry and children Matt and Ben

Hi family,
Knowing Patti so well all our lives and looking up to her and you Dave, as we grew into real people, has helped define us Sims kids. I look forward to the great reunion in Heaven, where the love and shared experiences can continue unimpeded by this separation. I love you all very much. I hope you've had some good Tahoe time together this year.

We received the email regarding Patti's birthday. We are currently at Lake Tahoe and just yesterday drove by the Gross cabin in Homewood on Sacramento. We paused in front and relived the many happy times we had enjoyed Dave and Patti's hospitality there. We first met Patti in the mid 1960's in Oroville during the dam construction. She was always the most wonderful mother, wife and friend. We will always remember her kind caring nature.

Dear Uncle Dave & precious Cousins,
Spending a little time with each of you @ Memorial Services for sweet Aunt Patti, her love was so very visible in your eyes & smiles. I was welcomed so warmly & generously; even in your grief. It was a blessing for me to be there & experience the abundant love shared by each of you; in your own unique ways.
Her shared wisdom helped me in raising our four children. I aspired to be more like her. Can still hear her soft voice; observed her patience, encouragement & quick wit; see her warm smile.
She generously welcomed our family for holidays, reunions, birthdays, weddings & vacations.
Her strength in times of hardship, separation, anxiety, compromise & loss, was monumental.
I live on with the memories of her unconditional love. So grateful she was in our family.
I miss her!
You all remain in my heart.
With much love,
Patti

Dearest Uncle and Cousins,
Our hearts, thoughts and prayers have been with you in a special way these last few weeks; especially this past week. Dick & I are sad that our sweet Aunt Patti is no longer with us, but we know she is still close to all of us whom she poured our so much love for so many years. We hold in our hearts many happy memories of times we've spent together and little helpful things we learned from her like parenting skills, entertaining and list making. No matter the circumstances Aunt Patti never complained, was always upbeat, cheerful and had such a cute sense of humor.

Because of life's circumstances, we haven't been able to see as much of Aunt Patti, but she has often been in our thoughts and will be missed. Dear family - may God bless you. We send all of you our love.

Dear Uncle and Cousins!

I am so sorry for your loss. Aunt Patti's smile shines through in my memories. I remember times at your home playing ping pong, and Aunt Patti's gentle encouragement at the games- as if we were at the Olympics and not on your back porch. I also remember Mitzie - the smiling dog - and how Uncle Beppi teased Aunt Patti, saying that the dog learned how to smile from her! (Which she probably did!)

That undying smile remained in my last visit with her October 2014. Tired as she was- and not having seen me in years- she welcomed me, my daughter, Olivia and grandson Aiden. She held my grandson with such love, as he could have been her own grandson. Her love and gentleness will endure through that eternal smile. I'm sure it is lighting up heaven now.

You all remain in my prayers!
Love niece,

Our dear Patti was a spark to our Renew Group. Full of funny stories, wide-eyed experiences, soft, gentle, prayerful compassion. Pretty little Patti with the cutie-pie hats and precious smile. Unsurpassed devotion to Dave and family. Good role model. Such a love. She will remain a spark in our memory, and undoubtedly, in heaven.

To Dave and the family, We will miss our very Special and First Neighbor we met in Walnut Creek in 1984. Patty and Dave came to the front of our house on the tandem bicycle to welcome us. We felt so lucky to have such a great family of Patty, Dave, Linda and Jonathan for our children Toni and Ed to be friends with while they were all growing up. Patty was the Angel then and now, always there for us, helping when she could. I miss knowing she is not next door to run over and talk to about our families and the world. She was a true friend!
Patty has earned her place in heaven and we can pray to her now. Love You Patty! Love, Karen and Rob Hall

Dear Family,
The many memories George and I share of dear Patti always warm our hearts. One of the very special moments was at one of our annual St. Patrick's Day parties when we re-crowned Patti as the "Snow Princess"! It was so much fun as were the many special times we shared together. There are too many to mention here just know that we love you all and miss you! Patti is surely the one with the brightest crown in Heaven!

We were greatly saddened by the news about Patty. We are never really emotionally prepared for a dear friend's passing, particularly such a sweet and loving lady as Patty. We have so many wonderful memories of the good times with Patty and Dave in Oroville and visits at Tahoe. Our deepest sympathy to Dave and the entire family, Patty made the world a better place.

Dearest Family,
For all of the years that I have known Patti, Dave and all of you "kids" I have considered that we are one family. Growing up together in California and Pakistan we always understood that Dave and Patti are our second parents. Even though we have been apart all of these long years I still feel that way. Lovely Patti, I will miss you as I do my mom and dad. You were an angel on Earth and now a true angel in Heaven. I am happy that you are in the arms of our Lord and Savior and are with Margot and John at this moment. I pray for God to relieve the grief that your family is feeling right now and to Bless them. Your loving "daughter" Nina.

Dear Uncle Dave and all,
Patti's flown but won't be forgotten. I hope she is busy touring Heaven with Margot and John and so many others who finished with love in their hearts. She's one of my examples to follow, especially as a parent and friend during her wonderful life.

We in Vermont will be praying for all of you, and grieving with you.
Much love,
Chris, Reed, Emily and Paul Sims

Godmother to my sister Mary

January 9, 2016

This is a photo from Saturday November 2, 1957 at St. Mel Church in Woodland Hills California.  Aunt Patti and Uncle Beppi were godparents to my sister Mary who was born 12 days earlier.  My Aunt Patti may have been the most kind and gentle person I've ever known.
