Patty was the crazy, funny cousin everyone loved. I'm sorry I lived so far away and wasn't able to see her often. I will miss her very much, especially her zany sense of humor.

Patty was definitely one of a kind, memorable and fun and funny. Once she called me "an old sole," and I thought, what, she thinks I'm a worn-out shoe? (and of course I wasn't near as old then as I am now.) No, she explained, an old soul, S-O-U-L! I'm still not sure what it means but I take it as a compliment. Because, as her kids note, she was full of love and life and joy. To be in her presence was to experience miracles.

Patricia was a beloved employee of Reston Community Center where she made countless lifelong friends. I enjoyed all the time we spent together talking about the human race in all its variety. She indeed was passionate about her family and friends and always loving and supportive. Among my favorite unique things about Patricia was her immovable love of squirrels. She was devoted to animals, but for whatever reason, squirrels held first place in the animal kingdom. Whenever I think of our friend, I will do so with a smile.

Rest in peace Patricia - know you made the world a better place.

Mom I miss you so much. I wanted more time with you in my life. I cry so much. I will see you in the next life. Love you.

To Mom, I am very blessed to have had a mom like you. You were supportive of me during my worst times, a loyal friend and confidant. You were funny, and you always had a story. Losing you definitely was not in the plans. I was hoping to have you around for many more years to come. I am not sure there is ever a good time to lose someone like you. I love you now and always.
