From Duke: I will miss you the soft pats on my head and the yummy treats you always gave me.

Pat was a great family man.  No matter how many kids I took into our home and the length of time they lived with us didn't matter.  He always had a good time with them and became a father figure for many of them.  We had as many as 10 other kids living with us at various times.  We always had a good time no matter what the circumstances were.  He worked hard and played hard. I'm sure he will be missed by many.  I know I was blessed to have him for 50 years.  He will always be in my heart.  Thank you Patrick for all the wonderful years good and bad.  I miss you so much.

This to me is one of the many true faces of Dad, animated to the fullest, always looking for the laugh and the opprotunity make people smile,

"Foremost, my deepest sympathy goes to the McGrath family. Pat will be remembered for welcoming my children into his and Mary's home when they were young. My children would always look forward to going there and would relate back to me about Pat's horsing around with them and just having fun. We will miss the good husband and dad that he was to his own and all other children that visited."

As we look back over time
We find ourselves wondering .....
Did we remember to thank you enough
For all you have done for us?
For all the times you were by our sides
To help and support us .....
To celebrate our successes
To understand our problems
And accept our defeats?
Or for teaching us by your example,
The value of hard work, good judgment,
Courage and integrity?
We wonder if we ever thanked you
For the sacrifices you made.
To let us have the very best?
And for the simple things
Like laughter, smiles and times we shared?
If we have forgotten to show our
Gratitude enough for all the things you did,
We're thanking you now.
And we are hoping you knew all along,
How much you meant to us.
