Patsy L. Little of Georgetown, DE, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015, after a Sshort illness.  She was 81 years old.

Patsy was born in East Chicago, IN, at St. Catherine’s Hospital on August 25, 1934, to the late Wilbur E. Pinkston and Emma Lucille Gilman Pinkston Kertis.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her siblings Judith Companik and Ralph Pinkston, and her daughter, Crystal Whorton.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years Richard Little of Millsboro, DE; sister, Elaine Dippolitto of Chicago, IL; three daughters Lorraine Wilkinson and her husband Harold R. of Pensacola, FL; Kimberly McDowell of Odenton, MD; Robin Polischuk of Millsboro, DE; son-in-law Wayne Whorton of Hampstead, MD; six grandchildren, Craig Mimms and his wife Carrie of Crofton, MD; Zachariah Hanson and his wife Anne of Dallastown, PA; Valerie McDowell of Concord, NC; George McDowell and fiancé Regina Likakh; Victoria Calvert and her husband Ryan of Asheville, NC; A. J. Whorton of Hampstead, MD; along with six great-grandchildren, Logan Crook, Nikolaas Bowers-Mimms, Lauryn Bayza, Christopher Fulton, Padyn McDowell, and Amelia Calvert.  She is also survived by extended family and friends.

She retired from the Social Security Administration after 30 years of service and worked locally for 10 years as a receptionist for a Millsboro physician.

Mother had a beautiful voice and shared it with others beginning in high school and church choirs.  She was a Square Dance Caller and Line Dance Instructor for over 26 years. 

She was proud of being a Girl Scout and held many volunteer positions from troop leader to being on the regional board. 

Family meant everything to her.  She took great joy in planning family gatherings both for her immediate and extended families.  Over the last couple of years, she was able to visit her cousin Nancy in Central Florida, stay with her daughter Lorrie in Pensacola, attend a family reunion in Myrtle Beach, see her Grandson George play softball, visit her Granddaughter Valerie and her Great-Grandson Padyn in North Carolina, and cook dinners for her grandchildren.  She was looking forward to her Grandson George’s wedding, holding her newest great-grandchild Amelia, seeing her Grandson Zach’s new place, spending more time in Pensacola, going on cruise, and planning a reunion in the Smoky Mountains next summer.
