 Patsy Elaine Mizzell Martin, affectionately know as Pat, passed away on January 29, 2020, on her 73rd birthday, after a courageous fight against colon cancer. 
    Pat was an exceptional lady and known for her quick quit, humor and love of life. She was fiercely patriotic and dearly loved her country. Passionate and outspoken, she was quick to defend anyone being mistreated, and was extremely loyal to her friends and family. She was beloved by her family and a wonderful aunt to one niece and 8 nephews. 
   Pat attended Jefferson State University after graduating from Sylacauga High School and was the Employee's Activities Director at Santee Cooper Power Plant in Charleston SC for almost 30 years. Throughout her life, she coached softball, played in a local band, and enjoyed traveling and water skiing. 
   Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Elvin T. Mizzell and Mary Francis Fields Mizzell, as well as her sister, Virginia Elizabeth Mizzell Evans. She is survived by her siblings, Carolyn Mizzell Edgerton, Steve Mizzell, and Jean Mizzell Walker and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 
   A memorial service for Pat will be held Feb 11, 2020 at 11am at the First United Methodist Church in Childersberg, AL.

Aunt Pat, I’m so sad you’re gone. You were always so nice to me and I loved being around you. You always made me laugh and cared about what I had to say. You were a wonderful and amazing woman. Thanks for being so nice to my mom and me. You will forever be loved and missed.
