MURPHY Paul Edward Paul Edward Murphy, age 78, of Wauseon, Ohio, formerly of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at Fulton Manor on Wednesday, August 30, 2011. He was born on June 3, 1933, in Latrobe, PA to Clyde and Edna (Lentz) Murphy. Paul married Sue Ann Flowers on September 5, 1952, and she preceded him in death on December 18, 2003. He worked as a manager at a lawn and garden agency for several years and also was a small engine mechanic during his free time - fixing practically anything. Paul and his wife, Ann were loving foster parents to many children over the years. They also were very involved in the Silvertone Kadets Baton and Drum Corps for 30 years. Paul served proudly as a Volunteer Fireman in Latrobe for over 30 years, and was a former member of the Latrobe Lions Club. Paul loved to spend time in the outdoors hunting and fishing with his brothers. When Paul moved to Wauseon, he joined the Hope Christian Fellowship Church where he loved to sing in the church choir. Surviving are his loving children, Laurie (Robert) Smith, Harold "Butch" (Kathleen) Murphy, Jill (Tom Rura) Dodds, John (Bonnie) Murphy, Barbara (William) Cline, Tara Murphy, and Paul Marvin Murphy; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; fiancé, Donna Stutzman; siblings, William (Ann) Murphy, Thomas (Sharon) Murphy, and Albert (Joann) Murphy. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann; and siblings, Clyde Jr., Marilynn, and Joyce. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at Hope Christian Fellowship Church, 15490 US 20A in Wauseon, OH, with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Christian Fellowship Church.
