Celebration will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 at W.E. Lusain Funeral Home and Crematory (2060 Germantown Street/Dayton, OH). 10:00am visitation and service to follow at 11:00am. Interment at Dayton National Cemetery. Masks are required for entry at service.
Paul Michel Wilbur age 73 departed this life on Tuesday, January 25, 2022; He was born September 8, 1948, to the late James and Arlessie Wilbur.He was preceded in death by his parents James and Arlessie Wilbur and four brothers James, David Sr., James Russell, Robert Wilbur and nephew David Wilbur Jr. all of Dayton; grandmother Louella Rowe of Minden, Louisiana and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A native Daytonian and graduate of Roosevelt Highschool, Class of 1967; a member of Tabernacle Church of God and Christ; a retiree of Inland General Motors – Dayton location; and served in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War, he was Honorably discharged as Sargent E-4.
Paul leaves to cherish in his memory daughters Kaysha L. Hardy, Kalaila T. Hardy and Danae Houston of Dayton; twelve grandchildren and two brothers Jerome and Jerry Wilbur of Dayton; Aunts Bertha Drake of Shreveport, Louisiana and Arlena McDay of Minden, Louisiana; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends; He also leaves to cherish in his memory best friends, Wesley and Donald Repress.
Paul was an avid Bowler and Chess Player; and he loved to be around Family and Friends.

Dear Daddy, I’m a few days late on this page, but not actually celebrating your birthday. Wow a few things have changed since we last spoke but I think you know by now. JayKwan is up there with you and the angels. It’s really hard but with God I’m pressing forward. Miracle is a strong somebody. It’s been one heck of a year. You taught us how to be ready for the real world.I just never knew how real till now. The lessons you taught was not only for us. your children but also for anybody you loved to save them the heartache and also keep them alive in this day and age. I still always find myself thinking. What would daddy say or do.Or… if daddy was here oooh weee. Even saying one of ur sayings yet again. God has granted me favor in a few areas and with that I’ll gravitate more towards him and persue what it is he’s Blessed me in or with. You left here something valuable. Wisdom . Daddy it’s been a whole year.Wow how time flys by. It definitely isn’t the same without you. It’s been empty souls here missing where you would fill the void. But God….. I wonder what would you would’ve been up to if you was still around. Probably the usual playing and studying your numbers, listening to your spiritual programs on your phone. Talking to 1 of us on the phone or in person. Or…watching your soaps. Boy what I wouldn’t give to have those moments back. However… I can’t your with the Big Man now so we will meet and laugh again. Everyone misses you. It’s not a day that goes by that somebody is saying one of your quotes. ( Dirty Bas$#%ds) Lol. I don’t think nobody has fully processed this fully yet. Dear Daddy,it's been rough living everyday in the earthly rim without you. Things aren't the same by far. We are celebrating your birthday as if because you are still here with us in Spirit. So many people who I bump into who I haven't seen in so long 1st thing they ask is....how is your dad? And when I tell them about your passing it creates a great deal of hurt amongst them. You have inspired and influenced so many. And up unto this point I never knew how many or how much. Snuggle misses your voice in phone calls and I miss your love and laughter. Your jokes and humor. We had so much fun! Miracle is taking this really hard but pursuing her dreams that much more. I look at your picture and I acknowledge you everyday! GOD has you so you are in the best of hands.
