Paul Roger was a fireman who loved to hunt. On his days off from the fire department he was out the door by 3 or 4 am to get in his tree stand so he could "catch" a deer as I often called it. He kept us in venison summer and winter. He was a fireman for the City of Greenville, SC for 29 years, retiring in 1998. After his retirement, he worked for various companies, drving a truck.

He was instrumental in helping me establish Harbor Christian Academy in 1992, in their home. It has since graduated over 1,000 students who are now teachers, doctors, nurses, vererianians, and more. Students affectionately called him "schooldaddy".

He was a godly man with defined Christian principals, helping me with Children's Church a Washingon Avenue Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, as well as Freedom Fellowship Church in Powdersville, SC.

Roger left behind three children, Scott, Michael, and Kimberely and one step-son, Jason. He had many grandchildren and nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
