Paula Cockrum McDaniel of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on March 30, 2019 at the age of 64. She was born on August 14, 1954 to Leonard and Betty (Kingman) Cockrum in Dallas, Texas. Paula married James McDaniel on October of 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Paula is survived by her husband
of 5 years, James McDaniel of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Jason Fondren of Fort
Worth, Texas; daughter, Tera Andrews and husband, Bryan of Wylie, Texas; granddaughters,
Amelia Andrews and Eleanor Andrews; sister, Mary Barr of Pottsboro, Texas; nephew,
Aaron Anderson of Plano, Texas; niece, Candace Barr and husband, Nick Wallace of
Pensacola, Florida; great-niece, Olivia Wallace of Pensacola, Florida;
sister-in-law, Trish Castro of Round Rock, Texas; former husband, Danny Fondren
of Murphy, Texas; and an abundance of loving
family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Cockrum; her brother, Leonard N. Cockrum, Jr.; and her sister, Linda Anderson.
Paula was a long time member of
Murphy Road Baptist Church where she loved to help serve with the children’s
ministry. She dearly loved planning activities for Jason and Tera’s closest
friends during the summer breaks from school. In addition, she enjoyed
volunteering at Salvation Army. Her last gift was to donate herself to the UNT
Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas with the hope her body can be used
to save others through research.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 1301 E. 15th St., Plano, Texas 75074.
