Paulette S. Cain, 71, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
Paulette was born in Grand Island, NE on March 7, 1946. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Salina, KS in 1964. Although she had many jobs throughout her life, she had the most joy being a secretary for the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local No. 29 and being an accomplished seamstress in her business, Paula’s Alterations in the Eaton Hotel in Old Town.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Olga (Dunn) Hoye, and brother, Dick Hoye. She is survived by her children, Jennifer (John) Hopkins of Wichita, Julie (Chris) Banks of Newton, and Brian (Melissa) Cain of Lenexa; sisters, Chris Jones, Katie Schorling and Vickie Katz. Her pride and joy were her 5 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Paulette’s name to : Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N. Roosevelt, Wichita, KS 67208 or Victory in the Valley, 3755 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67218. Baker Funeral Home Wichita Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
