Her Life

All in One

February 4, 2016

A mother is

Like no other...

Many things-wrapped up all in One...

One minute guiding...One minute gathering...

One minute listening...One minute laughing...

With abundant joy ...with exuberant fun.

A mother is

Our Angel sent to earth...

Praying for us

To succeed...

Being such a sparkling glimmer of wonder in our tiny little eyes

Starting right from birth.

A mother is

A BLESSING when

We have her...

So kiss her often, pamper her with care

Remembering ALWAYS to love her...Remembering ALWAYS to hold her near...

As one day...just like a RAINBOW...she will without warning, suddenly disappear.

And Now...The Next Heavy Weight Champion IS

February 4, 2016

What a fighter! My brother Randy said recently in a private conversation with me, "Wow...Dad was a military boxing champion yet Mom was a true fighter!"  And how true...she battled numberous health issues that would have staggered the average man or woman.  Yet, no matter how many times she got knocked down by an illness which she had to put all of her energy into just doing the simplest task...she would NEVER give up.  What courage it had to have taken to be told she was diabetic and would have to give up many of her favorite foods...including her beloved candy, cakes and pies.  She had to take insulin to control her blood sugar and the whole nine yards.  But, once I shared with her we could make her food still taste great without the sugar...she was willing to try a totally new way of eating.  And before long...she developed a liking to coconut sugar as a substitute for white.

So many events passed her back while she was in a fight to restore her health.  And when asked how she was doing, she would often say...I'm ok.  She would simply make the best of whatever the situation was.

"I believe that the heart does go on..."  Celine Dion sings...and with my mom...I KNOW that is true...There is a Champion in Heaven that won her Battles by fighting the "GOOD FIGHT".
