Her Life

The daughter of the late Floyd S. Carroll and Minnie King Carroll Miller, Mrs. Brown was a native of Dothan, Alabama. She was a resident of Newark, NJ for many years where she was employed as a Cardiology Technician at Beth Israel Hospital. She served as president of the Cardiology Technician Association.
Relocating to Columbus, GA in 1978, Mrs. Brown united with the Cusseta Road Church of Christ. She was employed with Dr. Schley, and also served as a private duty nurse. She served as President of the Neighborhood Watch and Homeowners Association for Holly Hills Community. She was a member and worked diligently with the Columbus Police Academy, and with the Rosalynn Carter School for Alzheimer's Care Services.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Minister Willie Earl Brown, and her son, Ronald Keefe Brown.

Survivors include: her sisters, Irene C. Johnson and Katie Morris; her niece and caregiver, Diane Morris; two nephews, Major (Retired) Robert Morris and Attorney Gregory Morris (Ann); her daughter-in-law, Joretta Kendrick Brown; three grandchildren, Elijah Brown, Nia Brown and Brandon Brown; a sister-in-law, Ever Lee Jones; a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
