" There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. " - Washington Irving

This rings true everyday. Mom you are a constant on my mind and life. I cherish your wisdom, laughter and support for you are the one that molded me. I think of that in tough times and then ask. What would mom say ?

Hi Mom. 10 years - that is how long it’s been since you became an angel. I wish I could say it has gotten easier, but this time of year if the hardest. I still have the voicemail you left me all those years ago. I’ll be there to see you next month. Miss you so much.

Hi Mom: It has been 8 years, and it hasn't gotten easier. I miss you every single day. I still have the voice mails you left on my phone, and the messages you left me on Facebook. Happy Thanksgiving in Heaven. I know you are watching - because your roses keep blooming - even today. Miss you so much.

7 years since I haven't seen your eyes, but they still are bright and as blue as can be for me. Always thought about every day. Dad won a magnificent 7 this past week. But you knew that. Your heart and hand are always upon us. I miss you everyday. We all do. But your heart is still our driving force. Have a beautiful sunshine day. I love you Mom.

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful." - Norman Vincent Peale
Merry Christmas Mom! Some of my greatest memories are these times when the light in your eye was ever so bright and exciting, the smells of the air, the food ( Brussels sprouts yum ) and your over all joy of giving. Thank you for being the one instilling in me the love of this moment. With all our love Michael and Angeles

Mothers

Mothers

December 3, 2012

They have strengths that amaze men. They carry children, they carry hardships, and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up for injustice. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They go without new shoes so their children can have them. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their loved ones get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a new marriage. They are strong when they think there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart. Mothers come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a mother is what makes the world spin! Mothers do more than just give birth. They bring joy and hope. They give compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends. Mothers have a lot to say and a lot to give.

PEARL WAS ALL OF THIS AND MORE.

Final Flight

November 29, 2012

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've found that peace at the end of the day.
If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah, yes, these things too I will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one' touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
