Peggie Jean Bonner born March 11, 1944 in Cusseta, AL to the late Willie and Geraldine (Finch) Spratling. She departed this life Friday, September 21, 2012 at Lanier Health Services,Valley, AL.

Peggie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board and thenNurses Guild.

She was a product of the Chambers County Public Schools and was a member of the Rehobeth High School graduating class of 1962.

Early in life, Peggy moved to New York and lived there for 26 years. She later moved back to Lanett in 1987.

 She was employed with Lanier Nursing Home for 13 years. She was preceded in death by a son, Ellis Evans, two sisters, Clara M. Walker and Christine Spratling Lloyd.

 She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Joe L. Bonner, two sons Tony (Dewanda) Evans, Tacoma, Washington; Gary (Shanan) Aleem, Lanett, A; one sister, Jessie White, LaGrange, GA; three brothers, Clanton(Linda) Spratling, Willie L. Spratling, Lanett, AL; Jessie J. Houston, Chattanooga, TN; a devoted daughter-in-law, Diane Evans Joyner, Valley, AL; three sisters-in-law, Eulazell Wills, Lanett, AL; Evamae (James) Gist, Cleveland, OH; Geneva Hestes, New York, NY; one brother-in-law, James Lloyd, Cilo, SC; 21 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a special niece that she reared as her own, Supria Alford, Brooklyn, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and other relatives and friend; special friends, Barbara Barber (RED) and Betty Ann Harper; Valley, AL.
