It's hard to believe it's been almost a year! Most days, when I think of something I want to share with you, it's still hard to believe you are not on this Earth plane. The world is a little less special with you gone. Love, always.

Thinking of you again today. Maylee is thinking of you also and remembers you as a wonderfully kind person. She lit a candle for you last night and sent you prayers. She still has the book on Edible Plants that you gave her.....it was her first and it is well-used and treasured.

Loving the outdoors and beyond

April 14, 2019

Percy was a wonderful family friend when I was a child. At 50 yrs old, I still have the edible plant field guide he gave me when I was 13 and snacking on my lawn. It has traveled well on many hikes and road-trips across the US and even survived a fall into a river! Percy loved both the natural world and the human world of the Arts. I have many snapshots in my memory of visiting him in New York City for my first trip there: the busy streets, Bronx Zoo, Cloisters (because I loved unicorns), and China Town are still vivid. Percy always seemed to have a sparkle to him - a passionate, creative, kind man. I am grateful to have known him, and I hope his next journey is a magnificent adventure!

A loving and talented friend

I just learned of your passing from Evie. I am flooded with so many memories of our times together. Children's Theater in Portland, Maine, where we first met when I came to apply for a PR job. Romance blossomed above the theater and then many trips to New York City when you moved back there......I still feel like you "gave" me New York City - the Bronx zoo, Greenwich Village and Mostly Magic - the club started by your sister and her husband, the Cloisters and MMA. I still have the gold pendant of Nefertiti you bought me, proud that you could buy me a piece of "real jewelry", as you called it. (You had bought be a lovely sterling pendant before.) I remember our just having coffee mornings and you lovingly massaging my feet - without my even asking. I was so proud of you when you finally finished your PhD and was able to teach. And your laugh! Your sense of the absurd was exquisite......and broadened by own. You will always be in my heart - and I read somewhere recently that you are never really gone if others still hold you in their hearts. I guess that means you will be here a long time. Love always, Diana
